Chiefs reschedule February 3rd game

The Spokane Chiefs have rescheduled their Sunday, February 3rd game versus the Seattle Thunderbirds to Sunday, December 16th at 6:00pm.

The move was prompted by the NFL's decision to change the Super Bowl from January 27th to February 3rd, following the rescheduling of games earlier in the year, as a result of the September 11th incidents.

"At the scheduling meeting in July, we plan our games around other big events and games, both in Spokane and nationally", said Tim Speltz, General Manager of the Spokane Chiefs. "The Super Bowl date change was unforeseen and we felt it would be in the best interest of our fans to make the Chiefs schedule change. This will give our fans the opportunity to watch the Chiefs play on December 16th, and not ask them to make the choice between watching the Super Bowl or coming to our game."

All tickets for the February 3rd game will be honored on Sunday, December 16th.
