the win, carrying 34 times for 125 yards and a touchdown.

the preparation after last week's game," coach Dave

BALTIMORE RAVENS
----------------

RB Jamal Lewis predicted he would break the NFL single-game
record for rushing yards and accomplished the feat against Cleveland.
Lewis carried 30 times and gained 295, 17 more than Corey Dillon of
the Cincinnati Bengals had in a 31-21 win over the Denver Broncos on
October 22, 2000. Lewis also set a franchise record with an 82-yard
touchdown run. ... Lewis' performance enabled the Ravens to overcame a
sub-par game from QB Kyle Boller. The rookie completed just 7-of-17
passes for 78 yards and an interception before injuring his left knee
early in the third quarter. Chris Redman replaced Boller and fumbled on
his first play. Redman threw only one pass and it was incomplete. He

we'll be back." ... QB Jon Kitna struggled in the first

on last-second field goals. ... The Browns wore

1983, when they posted 30-17 victory over Pittsburgh.
... DE Courtney Brown, who had offseason knee surgery,
had the Browns' lone sack.

a Week One win over the Baltimore Ravens, was 12-of-21 for
172 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the first half

DENVER BRONCOS
--------------

Coach Mike Shanahan could be in hot water with the
NFL. The league reportedly is investigating whether or
not Shanahan broke a rule when he lied about an injury
to QB Jake Plummer during Sunday's game against the
San Diego Chargers. The Broncos originally said that
Plummer suffered a concussion. After the game, Shanahan
announced his quarterback had a separated right shoulder.
He said he lied because Plummer might have had to
re-enter the game if backup Steve Beuerlein was hurt.

have to live with it, but we expect to play better. ...
