The Devils Rays established a franchise record with their 70 win
on the final day of the regular season.  The team had won 69
games in both 1999 and 2000. ... Tampa Bay became just the
seventh team to win at least 12 consecutive games and still
finish with a losing record. They won 12 in a row from June
9-22. ... LF Carl Crawford, 23, became the fourth-youngest
player to win back-to-back stolen base titles. He swiped 59
bases this year after stealing 55 in 2003. ... The Devil Rays
went 9-29 against the Red Sox and Yankees but 61-62 against the
rest of the major league teams.
