West Division title in 18 years and their fourth all-time crown.
They also won the AL West in 1979, 1982 and 1986, when Boston
beat them in seven games in the ALCS. ... Anaheim's clincher
came 22 years to the day since their 1982 title, a 6-5 win vs.
Texas. ... Bartolo Colon became the third pitcher in club
history to record 18 wins, joining Bill Singer's 20 in 1973 and
Nolan Ryan's 19 wins in 1972. ... The Angels moved into first
place to stay October 1 after holding the spot for one day
September 29.  They were previously in first place June 7 with a
