Cafe soaks up perks

By TIM BAINES -- Ottawa Sun

TORONTO -- Many of the WWF's biggest stars took over the Lone Star Cafe, just down the road from SkyDome, the site of Wrestlemania X8 last night.

Stars like Scott Hall, Shawn Michaels, The Big Show, Goldust, Val Venis, Al Snow, The Hardy Boyz, Rikishi, Bradshaw, Mr. Perfect and The Godfather ruled the roost in the days leading into Wrestlemania, much to the delight of the restaurant's patrons.

"We knew Wrestlemania was big, but we didn't know it was this big," said Lone Star's general manager Dan Mitchell, who estimated sales were up 15-20% because of the event.

 Didn't mind being bothered

"Not one of the wrestlers said they wanted to be left alone."

Waitress Chantale Kutkewich, who moved to Toronto from Ottawa in August, was also in awe.

"I don't know too much about wrestling, but the wrestlers were all really nice," she said.
