Big bucks spent

Thousands of wrestling fans huddling to keep warm outside the SkyDome last night seemed to have no problem getting last-minute tickets to WWF's WrestleMania X8.
Scalpers reported a buyers' market for tickets to the most anticipated wrestling event of the year.
Even pricey $285 seats were going for as little as $100 a pop.
But the coveted Platinum Ringside Seats -- that include a commemorative WrestleMania X8 chair -- could not be found for any price.
"Anybody with big money got their seats a long time ago," said one scalper.
Some fans said it took them an hour-and-a-half just to get in the building.
"This is the biggest crowd I have ever seen at the SkyDome," said veteran Sun sport reporter Steve Simmons.
Fans were lined up five deep at WWF concessions stands in the SkyDome to buy everything from foam fingers to WWF superstar T-shirts.
Dave Scott, 42, came in from Mississauga with son Kyle, 11, and his friend Chloe, also 11. Scott estimated that the Wrestlemania X8 experience cost him about $250.
"That's just for tickets and a few wrestling magazines," he said. "It's expensive, that's for sure."
Mark Klementti, 38, who came down with his son Tyler from Barrie as a belated 11th birthday present, figured he spent $500 on the main event in sports entertainment.
But Christophe Sack, 23, won the prize for determination.
Sack and 18 of his friends flew from Frankfurt, Germany, to Toronto just for WrestleMania X8.
"It's worth it to see the Undertaker," he said.
