Rock drops out of movie
Plans have crumbled for WWF wrestling star The Rock to star in a science fiction movie, Variety reports.

The Rock, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, was to star in the untitled futuristic film and receive a $5 million payday. The movie, to be written by James Wong and Glen Morgan, concerns a futuristic cop who must travel to another dimension in order to battle himself.

Variety said the film's producers, Sony-based Revolution Studios, still hope to put the film into production with another star. No reason was given for The Rock's exit from the project.
