Manitoba's sexiest man weds
Fellow wrestlers cheer Chris Jericho, bride

 Sorry, ladies.

World Wrestling Federation superstar Chris Jericho, the man voted as sexiest Manitoban in a recent Winnipeg Sun poll, was married yesterday to Jessica Lockhart, his girlfriend of two years.

"I'd say that they're perfect for each other," said Cyrus, a longtime friend of Jericho who wrestles in Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Jericho (real name Chris Irvine) and Lockhart were married during an outdoor ceremony at the St. Charles Country Club in front of about 150 family and friends.

Included in the crowd were wrestlers from all three major wrestling federations: Cyrus, Billy Kidman, Lance Storm, Disco Inferno, Christian and Edge.

 WROTE VOWS THEMSELVES

"He stood up for me at my wedding and I'm just really happy he found somebody for him like I did," said Storm, the World Championship Wrestling Canadian heavyweight champion.

During vows the couple wrote themselves, Lockhart and Jericho described how much they meant to each other and how they looked forward to their lives together.

"As powerful as the word love is, it is not strong enough to describe how I feel for you," Jericho told Lockhart. She responded in kind, calling him "sweetie," and recited vows which had many in the crowd wiping tears from their eyes.

Edge and Christian, WWF tag team champions, came all the way from Florida for the wedding.

"I was very happy for him, but seeing that look on his face at the end made it that much more special," said Christian.

"I feel great for him and I've got an idea for how to do my wedding next year," Edge said.

Jericho, who calls himself Y2J and the Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla, grew up in Winnipeg and went to Westwood Collegiate. He started wrestling professionally in 1990 after attending the Hart Brothers Pro Wrestling Camp in Calgary, and has since wrestled all over the world.

The 29-year-old 6-foot-1, 231-pound Jericho currently lives in Tampa, Fla.
