Perro Aguayo gets his head shaved
EMLL PPV a hair-raising affair

Perro Aguayo.
By JOHN F. MOLINARO -- SLAM! Wrestling

Mexican legend Perro Aguayo came out on the losing end of a mask vs. hair match in the main event of Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre's (EMLL) "El Juicio Final" pay-per-view event Saturday night from Mexico City's venerable Arena Mexico.

Aguayo squared off against longtime rival and CMLL World Heavyweight champion Universo Dos Mil in a match that was marred by interference from Mascara Ano Dos Mil, Universo's brother. Universo Dos Mil scored the pin on Aguayo following a tombstone piledriver, a move that is 'illegal' according to Mexican wrestling storylines.

A stunned crowd sat in shock as Aguayo's head was shaved bald in the middle of the ring after the match.

The match was just another in a long line of memorable encounters between Aguayo and the Dos Mil brothers. Aguayo won the mask of Mascara Ano Dos Mil in a famous, bloody match at AAA's inaugural TripleMania show on April 30th, 1993 before 48, 000 fans at the Plaza Del Toros bullring in Mexico City.

In the semi-final match of Saturday's pay-per-view, El Satanico & Shocker & Black Warrior defeated Ultimo Guerrero & Rey Bucanero & Tarzan Boy two falls to one when Satanico pinned Tarzan Boy in the third fall.

Safari & Olimpico & Mr. Niebla defeated Fuerza Guerrera (father of former WCW star Juventud Guerrera) & El Signo & Blue Panther to win the Mexican National Trios titles.

In other matches from the show: Atlantis & Brazo de Plata & Negro Casas b Dr. Wagner Jr. & Scorpio Jr. & Apolo Dantes, Astro Rey Jr. & Pantera & Felino b Rencor Latino & Arkangel & Veneno and Tzuki & Ultimo Dragoncito b Fierito & Pierrothito.
