Hart family to meet WWF Monday

RAW in Calgary on Monday night might just mark the reuniting of the Hart
Family and the WWF.
In his Ross Report on WWF.com, WWF VP Jim Ross said that the company was
planning to honour Stu Hart in some capacity at the show, and that he is
looking forward to seeing the whole Hart family.
Saturday night, Stu Hart told SLAM! Wrestling that he would be open to
meeting with the WWF. "I have no axe to grind with Vince," Stu said. "If
Vince wants me to attend, I would hear him out."
"I haven't been officially invited yet," he said. "If he wants me to be
introduced ... I'd say, 'please, Vince, if you get a chance, just for
old times sake, give me a plug.'"

James Trimble, who wrestles in Calgary as Dick Butkus Jr., and is dating
Diana Hart, confirmed the Harts and the WWF would meet. "Stu and Helen
are having a meeting there Monday, I know," Trimble said. "We haven't
actually heard who's going to be there or what's going on yet."
Stu is using a cane now, after a few weeks in the hospital.
Bruce Hart is likely the main architect of the reunion. He hasn't been
as successful as he had hoped with the relaunch of Stampede Wrestling,
and sees the need for his promotion to become a training ground or
developmental area for WWF talent.
The Hart family was a regular in WWF events and storylines, but riffs
developed following Bret Hart's bitter departure from the company. Owen
Hart's death in May 1999 saw the family launch a lawsuit against the
WWF, a lawsuit that was hardly a unamimous move by the family.
Seeing Bruce and Ross Hart at ringside would hardly be a surprise, given
their desire to work with the WWF. Stu and Helen Hart would take a lot
of convincing. There is zero chance of seeing Owen's widow Martha or his
children at the event.
Diana Hart wants to arrange a meeting of her own with the WWF to discuss
a possible promotion for her upcoming book about her life in wrestling.
"I'm looking for endorsement for my new book coming out," Diana Hart
told SLAM! Wrestling.
The big question mark is, of course, Bret Hart. In a business where
'never say never' is a mantra, could the Hitman and the WWF ever work
together again. The current angle with Shane McMahon leading WCW against
Vince McMahon's WWF would be a good one for Bret to be involved in on
Shane's side.
