Bruce Hart, son of legendary wrestling king Stu Hart, is staging a comeback
of sorts as he steps in the ring for Stampede Wrestling's famed Good Friday
show at the Ogden Legion next Friday.
According to the folks at Stampede Wrestling, this move marks this second
generation Hart the sole remaining active wrestler in his famous wrestling
family.
"This is going to be the official comeback for Bruce Hart and the major
re-launch of the whole promotion," says Blake Norton, Stampede Wrestling's
press agent.
Hart has wrestled here and there over the last 10 years, but the focus of
his efforts have been in training the up-and-comers.
However, Hart says it's time for the trainer to step aside.
"I have nothing to prove but to myself," says Hart in a recent Stampede
Wrestling press release.
"I'm in the greatest shape of my life.
"I didn't spend the last 15 years on the road.
"My body is one hundred percent.
"I'm not putting any limits on what I can do.
"Our fans have been waiting a long, long time to see this fight."
Sounds like big Bruce is ready.
"If he's happy I'm happy," says brother Bret (Hitman) Hart, who has since
retired from the pro-wrestling world.
Tickets for Good Friday's Stampede Wrestling event are available by calling
403-279-3636, or at the doors at the Ogden Legion that night.
