Wrestling legend Stu Hart hopes to make a healthy comeback and has a
fighting chance of being home tomorrow.
"Last I heard he is coming home Wednesday. I think he'll be almost as good
as new when he comes home," Stu's wife, Helen, said yesterday.
"Doctors want to make a few more tests and observe him, but they think the
rest is doing him good. I know it is."
The 85-year-old wrestling giant has been in Rockyview Hospital since he
arrived last Thursday with pneumonia and heart problems.
Fluid was drained from Hart's lungs and the area around his heart.
A steady flow of visitors at his bedside in the cardiac unit has eased his
stay.
"He's getting so much company, he's not lonely at all. I think he's
starting to enjoy the whole thing," Helen said.
"He said the hospital is taking very good care of him and treating him so
well. But there's no place like home."
If things go as planned Hart, who missed Easter with family, should see his
wish to be out in time to receive his Order of Canada award in Ottawa next
month.
A special e-mail address has been set up for people who would like to send
their well wishes to Stu Hart:
