Hitman pins acting gig
By JASON VAN RASSEL -- Calgary Sun
Away from wrestling, Bret (Hitman) Hart is now working at pinning
down acting jobs.
"We're doing a little bit here and there and reading some scripts," said
Teri Tkachuk of Bruce Allen Talent, the agency that represents Hart.
The Calgary born-and-bred grappling legend tried his hand at comedy
recently, taping a walk-on appearance on a sports-themed sketch show last
weekend.
The show, called Cheapseats, is being developed for CTV and the Comedy
Network, and should air sometime in the spring, Tkachuk said.
Hitman plays himself in the sketch.
Hart has been out of wrestling since the World Championship Wrestling
circuit ended his contract last October.
The WCW said Hart's recovery from a concussion was taking too long.
Hart has some TV acting experience, filling a part-time role as cowboy
Luther Root for two seasons on the now-cancelled Western series Lonesome Dove.
Hart has also appeared in some commercials.
