Stephanie lays the Smackdown! on Bischoff

By TIM BAINES -- Ottawa Sun

Eric Bischoff's bullying lasted about three minutes too long, coming to a crashing halt on RAW last Monday.

Bischoff invited a group of picketing protesters -- the International Organization for Women (IOW) -- into a ring to have their say.

The group claimed Bischoff, as the WWE's RAW GM, was exploiting women -- with bra and panties matches, mud matches and pillow fights. There was also the matter of H.L.A., Bischoff's Hot Lesbian Action from the previous week.

Bischoff looked at his watch, about to deliver his three-minute special with The Island Boyz cleaning house, but was stopped cold with a kick to his family jewels from one of the protesters, Smackdown! GM Stephanie McMahon in disguise.

Stephanie then got support when Billy and Chuck ran into the ring and destroyed Bischoff. The Island Boyz, Jamal and Rosey, came to Bischoff's rescue, but they were also beat up.

That sets up a showdown at tonight's Unforgiven pay-per-view with The Island Boyz vs. Billy and Chuck. The stipulation is if the Island Boyz lose, Bischoff has to kiss Stephanie's butt. If Billy and Chuck lose, Stephanie has to participate in some H.L.A.

 - Who-o-o-o! How about Whoa? Rick Flair suffered one of the lowlights in his career on RAW when he was defeated in shocking fashion by Rico, who has defected from Smackdown! Triple H later taunted Flair: "At one time, you were the man. I looked up to you, I idolized you. You just lost a match to a man who can't hold your jock. The Ric Flair I see before me right now is pathetic." But while The Nature Boy is down, "the dirtiest player in the game" can never really be counted out. Look for Flair to defeat Chris Jericho at Unforgiven. Jericho won the intercontinental title over Rob Van Dam and we suspect that crown will be Flair's reward for laying down against Rico.

 - Jerry "The King" Lawler delivered another lemon Monday: "I have nothing against women's rights. I like their lefts. I like their backs ..."

 - The WWE website says former Ottawa Rough Rider Ron Simmons (Farooq) has been off the road caring for his wife Lottie, who has been suffering vision problems.

 - WWE is expected to announce on Tuesday that Seattle's Safeco Field will be the site of the next Wrestlemania.

 - Wrestling columnist Dave Scherer says WWE could soon announce the signing of Malice, known as The Wall in WCW.

 - According to the Jim Ross Report, Maven is about three weeks away from returning and Christopher Nowinski will soon have jaw surgery and be out 4-6 weeks.
