Hart-felt broadcast for Bret

CALGARY -- CJAY 92 morning man Gerry Forbes and I were having lunch the other day and the conversation turned to one of the city's most loved personalities -- Bret Hart.
Back in June, Hart suffered a stroke while cycling on a bike path along the Bow River.
He's getting better, but recovery can be a long, arduous process, regardless of the severity of the injury. Bret, however, is strong, he's a fighter and he's going to make it through this challenge. He may have been out of the public eye the last while, but we certainly haven't forgotten about him.
We wanted to do something to let Bret know how much Calgary cares for him and how we're all pulling for him to get well soon.
The idea came to us in a flash.
A week from today, CJAY 92 and the Sun will invite Calgarians to collectively send their well wishes for a speedy recovery to the wrestling superstar.
Between 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., Aug. 7, Forbes will broadcast his morning show live from the parking lot of Chinook Centre facing Macleod Tr. During the broadcast that morning, a massive Get Well Soon card will be available for Calgarians to sign, enabling you to send out your personal "get well soon" message to Bret.
A number of prizes, including WWE, Flames and Stampeders merchandise, will be raffled off with funds raised, along with any other cash donations, going to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
