WCW 'Radicals' debut in WWF

By GREG OLIVER -- SLAM! Wrestling

We all knew that it was coming -- it was just a question of how and when.

Last night on Monday Night RAW, live from Pittsburgh, PA, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko made their WWF debuts with a bang.

The quartet arrived at ringside during the New Age Outlaws vs Al Snow & Steve Blackman opening match, and quickly entered the action when Road Dogg ended up in their laps. After kicking some Outlaw bootie in the ring, they all went back to the dressing room where it was revealed that Cactus Jack had invited them to the show.

The rest of the night saw the 'Radicals' -- as they were dubbed by Jim Ross -- going around and meeting WWF talent, and in some cases beating them up (please make this the end of the Mean Street Posse).

Well into the second hour, Cactus Jack petitioned Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Stephanie McMahon to give jobs to his friends. HHH thought about it, but refused. McMahon cited the Radicals' penchant for disagreeing with management as one reason not to hire them.

Before the main event of HHH vs Kane took place, Cactus Jack grabbed a microphone and challenged Hunter's decision, saying that all Malenko, Benoit, Saturn and Guerrero wanted was a chance to compete in the WWF. Then, the Radicals returned and laid a beating down on HHH.

It was quite the debut for the quartet, and it appears that they are headed immediately for a top-level feud with Degeneration X.
