Horsemen appear on horizon

By MATT GARDNER -- For SLAM! Wrestling

Curt Hennig broke up the Four Horsemen, and now may be the reason they come back.
NOTE: We hope to have a video clip and still photos later in the week.
 And then there were Four?

After last night's Nitro, it sure looks like we'll be seeing the long-rumoured return of the Four Horsemen to WCW.

In a classic encounter Dean Malenko took on Curt Hennig inside a steel cage.

This was a hot and heated encounter with Malenko fighting for the right to bring back the Horsemen.

And Hennig is no fan of the Horsemen, having turned his back them last year after taking Arn Anderson's spot.

Hennig domnated the majority of the fight, but as Malenko was applying the Texas-Cloverleaf, Rick Rude broke in and caused the DQ.

At that point Hennig and Rude placed Malenko in the same position Flair was in last year, head in the cage door ready to slam shut. But right as Hennig was about to ram the steel cage door on to Dean's head Arn Anderson ran down and beat the crap out of Hennig, Rude and Stevie Ray, with basically one hand. (Anderson is unable to wrestle anymore, and it's legit.)

A loud "We Want Flair!" chant engulfed the arena.

The Enforcer and Malenko gave a sign of respect to each other as they went to a commercial.

So, they're quietly pushing Flair for next week, and I gotta say I love live RAW's but if Flair is on Nitro next week like everyone is saying then to hell with Austin, McMahon and the rest of the WWF-at least for one segment!
