Is it trick or treat time in WCW?

By MR. X -- Ottawa Sun
PARTS UNKNOWN -- For the sake of wrestling fans' sanity, let's hope World Championship Wrestling is going to push aside the usual ill-conceived tricks for tomorrow's Halloween Havoc pay-per-view, and finally offer up a treat.

Havoc is traditionally one of the WCW's better shows and it'd be tough to blow this one with headline matches like Hollywood Hogan and Roddy Piper locking up in a cage; Curt Hennig meeting Ric Flair; Diamond Dallas Page going toe to toe with Randy Savage; Lex Luger facing Scott Hall and the Giant squaring off with Kevin Nash.

Still, the WCW, with all its hot air, has turned caviar into kitty litter before. Tomorrow's show is available on Viewer's Choice, beginning at 8 p.m.

LOOKING FOR TOYS: Outaouais Professional Wrestling is putting on a show tomorrow, at 2 p.m., at the Market Banquet Hall, 106 Clarence St. at the corner of Dalhousie. Take a toy and get in free with proceeds going to Toy Mountain. The main event is Vader look-a-like Big Slam vs. Steve Corino. There are four other matches scheduled, including Andy Ellis vs. Primus; Golem the Giant vs. Ice Man; Jason Knight vs. Bruiser and Wiseguy Jimmy Cicero vs. Nite Stic Eddie Brown. Cost, without a toy, is $5 for children and $7 for adults.

AROUND THE WWF: Jeff Jarrett is back, without a gimmick this time. He launched into a tirade against the WCW, which he recently bolted, then tore a strip off WWF boss Vince McMahon on RAW is WAR. A sample of Jarrett's comments directed at McMahon: "You booked me with a clown, a drug addict and a black man who can't even speak English." ... DeGeneration X (Shawn Michaels, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna and Rick Rude hit a new low Monday, presumably trashing and leaving racist graffiti in the dressing room of the Nation of Domination. The "planted" Canadian flag, though, pointed the finger at the Harts being the culprits ... Taka Michinoku has signed ... Look for Glenn Kulka to debut at the WWF Sky Dome show Nov. 7 in Ahmed Johnson's corner against Rocky Maivia. Kulka will likely be in Montreal for the Nov. 9 Survivor Series, then in Ottawa the following night for RAW.

WCW BITS: I swear if I see another bogus Sting go into the ring at Halloween Havoc, I'll do laps around my house crooning Message in a Bottle until they take me away in a strait-jacket.
