Kulka to debut at SkyDome show
Kulka joins mat pack
Glenn Kulka, CFL football star and Edmonton native, is the newest Canadian member of the World Wrestling Federation.
Kulka, who has been secretly training with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in Calgary, will debut ringside in Ahmed Johnson's corner against Rocky Maivia at a live event at Toronto's SkyDome on November 7th.
Then it is on to his television debut at the Raw Is War event at Ottawa's Corel Centre on November 10th. There is talk that he could also play a role in the Survivor Series in Montreal on November 9th as well.
In preparation for the SkyDome show, Kulka will be making an appearance in Toronto on November 6th (4:00 p.m.) to speak to youths at the Touchstone Youth Centre, an emergency shelter for homeless teens.
Kulka's wrestling debut will mark his third career change in sports. The 6'3', 275 pound, 33-year-old began his sports career playing hockey in the minor leagues in Medicine Hat and then moved on to professional football
where he played as a defensive linesman for the Toronto Argonauts, the Montreal Allouettes, the Ottawa Rough Riders and most recently the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Now a resident of Ottawa, Kulka made the Canadian All-Star team while playing for Ottawa in 1991.
Kulka broke the standard football bench-press record in North America by doing 53 repetitions with 225 pounds.
