Degeneration X gets thumbs up

Saturday, October 18, 1997
By MR. X -- Ottawa Sun
PARTS UNKNOWN -- The Boy Toy and his Clique are running wild on the World Wrestling Federation.

Shawn Michaels and his gang of Chyna, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Rick Rude have turned their DeGeneration X gimmick into a must-see each week on RAW is WAR. They're constantly interfering in matches, performing their Beavis and Butthead/Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure routine to the max. A big thumbs up from this corner.

AROUND THE WWF: The RAW show Nov. 10 at the Corel Centre will be shown live on TSN, beginning at 9 p.m. One of the scheduled "dark matches" which won't be shown on television is an eight-man tag match featuring Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Vader and Dude Love vs. Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart and British Bulldog. The following night, at the Cornwall RAW show, the dark match will be a Too Hot To Handle match featuring Undertaker and Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart and Owen Hart ... Look for a Team Canada vs. Team USA match at the Survivor Series in Montreal Nov. 9. Patriot, Vader, Dude Love and Goldust are scheduled to meet British Bulldog, Glenn Kulka, Jim Neidhart and Tiger Ali Singh ... If you missed it last week, Legion of Doom are the new tag-team champs.

WCW BITS: The Steiners are the new tag-team champs with a win over Syxx and Scott Hall ... Halloween Havoc looks promising, at least on paper. Roddy Piper takes on Hulk Hogan in a cage, Diamond Dallas Page faces Randy Savage, Lex Luger meets Hall and Curt Hennig tangles with Ric Flair.
