Jeff Jarrett leaves WWF for WCW

One week after Vince Russo and Ed Ferrera defected to WCW comes confirmation that Jeff Jarrett has left the WWF.
The WWF website has confirmed the rumours that Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett is leaving the organization for WCW.
The WWF cited a contract dispute between Jarrett and Jim Ross for his departure.
Jarrett's contract expired on Saturday but, according to the WWF, he will be at the WWF's No Mercy PPV on Sunday where he is scheduled to defend against Chyna.
With Jarrett free from his WWF contract, speculation is that he'll show up on Nitro on Monday from Philadelphia.
This will be Jarrett's second tour of duty in WCW. His first tenure began in late 1996 and he was immediately put into the 4 Horseman clique. In June of 1997 he won the U.S. Heavyweight title from Dean Malenko, a reign that lasted two months, dropping the title to Steve McMichael in August.
