Corel Centre goes Stone Cold crazy

Ottawa Sun
Stone Cold Steve Austin has reached the pinnacle of the World Wrestling Federation.

And judging by recent comments from the champion, he isn't about to slide from his perch tonight against Rocky Maivia in the main event of the WWF's extravaganza at the Corel Centre, beginning at 8 p.m.

Maivia may have the backing of his Nation of Domination cohorts, but Austin will have the support of the fans, who've made Austin into an icon of sorts.

Austin, one of the most charismatic characters in recent wrestling history, has been front and centre in the WWF's grand scheme lately, feuding with WWF owner Vince McMahon.

There'll be plenty of the WWF's beasts, and some of its beauties, on hand to rollick and frolic at the Corel Centre.

Also scheduled to be on hand are De-Generation X ringleader Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Owen Hart; Undertaker vs. Kane; Marc Mero (with Sable) vs. Justin Hawk Bradshaw; Skull and 8-Ball vs. New Age Outlaws; Vader and Faarooq vs. Kama and Mark Henry; Steve Blackman vs. Jeff Jarrett; Headbangers vs. Quebecers; Taka Michinoku vs. Brian Christopher; and D-Lo Brown vs. Kurrgan.

Tickets are priced from $12 to $25. See tomorrow's Sun for results.
