WCW PPV coming to Toronto

By JOHN MOLINARO -- SLAM! Wrestling

World Championship Wrestling has announced on its website that this year's Mayhem pay-per-view (formerly World War 3) will be held at Toronto's Air Canada Centre on November 21st.

No matches have been officialy signed for the event as of yet. There is speculation, however, that Bret Hart will challenge Hulk Hogan for the WCW World title in the main event.

The event marks WCW's first show back in Toronto since staging a live taping of Nitro on March 29th at the Air Canada Centre. Fans will remember that Bret Hart 'quit' the promotion that evening and Sting made his return to WCW after a several month layoff. The following night, WCW conducted tapings for their WCW Saturday Night program in Kitchener, Ontario.

The last pay-per-view held in Toronto was April 1, 1990 when the WWF drew over 67, 000 fans to the Skydome as the Ultimate Warrior defeated Hulk Hogan for the WWF World title at WrestleMania VI.
