PARTS UNKNOWN -- Pro wrestling is trying to put a stranglehold on the Ottawa scene.
With the WWF's RAW is WAR television show confirmed for Nov. 10 at the Corel Centre, rival World Championship Wrestling is also trying to book a date in this area, marking the first time it would appear here.
AROUND THE WWF: Stone Cold Steve Austin's words of wit in an interview with Jim Ross were the highlight of RAW is WAR ... Marc Mero, out the past six months with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, could be back late next month, as a heel ... The Wrestling Lariat says Mick Foley's wife Collette is one of Dude Love's groupies, the taller, blonde one ... Rick Rude, the hired gun, interfered and helped Shawn Michaels and Hunter Hearst Helmsley win over Mankind and Undertaker on RAW ... The feud between Brian Pillman and Goldust has taken a new twist with Pillman saying he is really the father of Dakota, daughter of Goldust and Marlena. Pillman will put his WWF career on the line in a match with Goldust with his stakes being the use of Marlena as personal assistant for a month ... Vader looks like he's turned face after breaking Bret Hart's Canadian flag in two and brawling with the WWF champ.
WCW BITS: Look for a feud between Lex Luger and Diamond Dallas Page ... Sting was on Nitro and re-iterated his desire to face Hollywood Hogan.
