By GREG OLIVER - SLAM! Wrestling
JOHNSTOWN, NY - Part of the magic of attending the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame induction ceremony is the interaction between the wrestlers, especially once they get on the microphone.
In essence, everyone seems to have a story on everyone else, and that was evident Saturday night at the PWHF's 12th ceremony.

By GREG OLIVER - SLAM! Wrestling
AMSTERDAM, NY -- There were no hard feelings for the 2012 Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame inductees, Wendi Richter, Dominic Denucci and Superfly Jimmy Snuka when they were overshadowed by a man picking up his 2002 induction ring. Not when that man was The Man for so long -- Bruno Sammartino.

The French Angel was more man than monster
By GREG OLIVER - SLAM! Wrestling
Maurice Tillet -- The French Angel -- was one of wrestling's biggest stars in the late 1930s and the 1940s, and provided some wonderful copy by the newspapermen of the day. The St. Louis Post Dispatch, reporting on Tillet's win over Leo Lefebvre on March 19, 1940, provides one such example: "The 'Angel,' stripped, proved to be a misshapen specimen of manhood. True, his big hideous head scared the women around the ringside, and probably would alarm even Boris Karloff. He has a barrel-like chest, a long torso, but his arms did not seem possessed of unusual strength and his legs were the legs of a 36-year-old man."

The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame is in for a wild ride in 2012, as Afa and Sika Anoa'i are set to be inducted. And the only thing wilder than a Wild Samoan is two of them.
"The hall of fame is the greatest acknowledgment that an athlete can receive," Afa told SLAM! Wrestling. "It makes all the years worth it. I personally loved wrestling and it has been good to me and my family, so to be included in any hall of fame, to me, means that I have made my mark and legacy."

Ellering deservedly shares in laurels for Road Warriors
By MARSHALL WARD - SLAM! Wrestling
It was in a dream that Paul Ellering first envisioned himself as a manager.
"I think it was while I was in wrestling camp that I had a premonition-like dream, seeing myself not as a wrestler, but managing wrestlers," Paul Ellering recently told SLAM! Wrestling from his sports bar in Grey Eagle, Minnesota. "I started out as a wrestler, wrestling for five years on my own, but it wasn't until Ole (Anderson) gave me the opportunity to manage did I say to myself, 'Yeah, that's what I'm supposed to do.'"
