Bad hair day for Vince

DETROIT -- It was a night oozing emotion, a night that will go into the record books as one of the most successful Wrestlemanias of all-time.

A night the record-breaking crowd of 80,103 fans on hand at Ford Field will be talking about for days, weeks, months, maybe years.

It was a night The Deadman refused to die ... and got to wear gold, maintaining a legendary Wrestlemania winning streak.

And it was certainly a night that Vince McMahon won't soon forget. All he has to do is look in the mirror this morning and see that he has no hair.

Despite plenty of interference from Shane McMahon and a Samoan Spike by Umaga to referee Stone Cold Steve Austin, Donald Trump's representative Bobby Lashley defeated McMahon's Umaga in the Hair vs. Hair match.

After McMahon's hair was lopped off, right down to the wood, Austin slugged back a beer and delivered his Stone Cold Stunner to The Donald. DTA ... Don't trust anybody.

The Undertaker, in an excellent, off-the-charts physical match, won the world heavyweight title, kicking out after a Batista bomb and beating Batista with a tombstone piledriver.

John Cena held onto his WWE heavyweight title with Shawn Michaels tapping out to the STFU. The match was well-paced, with several false finishes.

In what is likely a precursor to a heavyweight title reign, Mr. Kennedy won a trainwreck of a Money in the Bank Ladder match, with bodies flying everywhere.

"I would like to congratulate myself. And I'd like to send a message to every guy who has a championship belt around his waist," said Kennedy. "You'd better have eyes in the back of your head. Nice guys finish last ... and I'm not a nice guy."

Other results: The Great Khali defeated Kane; Chris Benoit retained his U.S. heavyweight title with a win over MVP; Melina beat Ashley; and The ECW Originals beat The New Breed.

Celebrities on hand included several Detroit Tigers, Blue Jays pitcher Shaun Marcum, the Pistons' Chris Webber, Wings goalie Dominik Hasek and Wade Boggs.

Detroit, with some assistance from its border sister city Windsor, threw a helluva bash. Wrestlemania fans came from 24 countries, all over the U.S. and nine Canadian provinces, pumping $25 million into the local economy.
