Knocks out behemoth at wild Wrestlemania

ORLANDO, FLA. -- Incredible! You didn't even have to be a wrestling fan to soak in the electric atmosphere at last night's Wrestlemania XXIV.

The Super Bowl of wrestling took us on a wild rollercoaster ride, delivering mind-boggling action, a couple of title changes, a few twists and turns, a boxing champion beating a giant and a stadium echoing with Woooos! after an emotional loss by legendary Ric Flair, meaning he must retire.

With millions watching around the world, 74,635 fans packed the Florida Citrus Bowl.

In Money vs. The Monster. Floyd Mayweather defeated The Big Show in a no-holds-barred wrestling match.

Mayweather delivered the knockout blow with several chair shots and brass knuckles to The Big Show's noggin. The Big Show was given the 10 count and couldn't get to his feet.

Mayweather, the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world but weighing less than 150 lbs., was outsized by 300 lbs. and a foot and a half.

The match was surprisingly good with Mayweather getting in some early body shots and a right to the jaw, but The Big Show dominated, beating up several of Mayweather's handlers in the process.

Flair was defated after a Shawn Michaels superkick. It ended a weekend in which The Nature Boy repeatedly broke down in tears when trying to explain what he would do if his wrestling career was over.

"I will never wrestle again," The Nature Boy said, his voice cracking.

The loss to Michaels featured several two counts. Nature Boy was once again The Dirtiest Player in the Game with eye pokes and kicks to the crotch.

Michaels twice broke out of Flair's figure-four leglock, reversing it once and getting to the ropes another time.

Flair, stylin', and profilin', also survived Michaels' finishing move, the superkick, and got to the ropes on a figure-four.

Asked before the match about his game plan, Flair smiled and said: "My game plan? To be The Man ... Woooooo!"

On this night, Michaels beat The Man.

The Undertaker kept his Wrestlemania legacy alive.

Heading into last night's main event with a 15-0 Wrestlemania record, The Undertaker won the world heavyweight title from Edge, the Rated R Superstar.

The match was a slugfest with several close calls. Edge tapped out to end it.

Randy Orton won the Triple Threat match against John Cena and Triple H. It was a match that could have main-evented the show and likely fell short of expectations.

Kane won the Battle Royal, shown exclusively on wwe.com before the pay-per-view.

KANE IS ABLE

By winning, Kane got a shot against ECW champ Chavo Guerrero later in the show. It took slightly longer than a blink of an eye for Kane to choke-slam Guerrero and win the ECW championship.

CM Punk won an eye-popping Money in the Bank ladder match, with several incredible tumbles off the selection of ladders. The match involved a surprise run-in by Matt Hardy, who prevented MVP from pulling down the briefcase.

Snoop Dogg was master of ceremonies for the Bunnymania match with The Glamazon Beth Phoenix and Melina defeating Ashley and Maria. Snoop Dogg then clotheslined Santino Marella and kissed Maria.

Batista beat Umaga in a battle of the big boys.

JBL beat Finlay in a slobber-knocker of a Belfast Brawl.

Wrestlemania marked the end of an incredible weekend of festivities, including the Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday night.
