Countdown to TNA Sacrifice
By JON WALDMAN -- SLAM! Wrestling

Here's the unfortunate thing about TNA Sacrifice tonight - if you missed a week of television you pretty much have no idea what's going down on PPV. So let's catch up together, shall we?

First, let me go straight to the angle that had at one point been my favourite in TNA - Sam Shaw and Christy Hemme. This angle has been tossed around so much and had so many detractors but enticed me because it was something different. Now? It looks like it's being put out to pasture for the sake of elevating Ken Anderson for the 400th time. Here's the really unfortunate thing - Shaw plays the part so well, but it's like Nailz - once the one angle is done it's hard to transition elsewhere. Sure, he could creep on another Knockout, but it won't be the same.

So now we're onto the Eric Young vs. Magnus in the World Title match. I'm still unclear as to why EY has the belt, but Dixie's claim about inventing the beard or whatever ludicrous statement she made has turned me off to this completely. I'm not one to follow the claims that it's Daniel Bryan 2.0, moreso it's the idea of putting the title on someone, again, different. My guess honestly is that Joe's concussion led to this. I think EY retains tonight and with the teased heat between him and Samoa Joe, we get that feud next.

Next up is the tag team match I really, really hope is short - Kurt Angle and Willow vs. EC3 and Spud. First - I know a few months back I joked about how I could watch Spud get beat up and never be sick of it. Well, I was wrong. I'm sick of it. Spud's 'comedy' is weighing Carter down. I honestly don't know why he or Willow are in this match. I suspect Carter gets the pin on Angle but I'm scared.

Elsewhere, take the Wolves to finally rid TNA of BroMans, Gunner to beat James Storm (unfortunately), Angelina Love to take the Knockouts Championship, Sanada to retain and Bully Ray to put Bobby Roode through a table... or two... or three...

Enjoy the show!
