Countdown to WWE Survivor Series

The Survivor Series is up tonight and as in past years, WWE has limited the number of "traditional" elimination matches to one. Rather than fall into the WWE trap of them defining what the main event is, however, I'm going to preview the elimination match first.
So the funny thing is about Team Ziggler vs. Team Foley is there have been more changes to this match than there has been to the WWE roster all year. In fact, going into tonight's bout, we don't even have a solid team set on the heel side, with Cody Rhodes looking to be on the injured list. Now had it not been for Miz transitioning to babyface in this bout (and potentially turning his back on his team to go back as a jackass heel), I'd say this leaves the door open for Dean Ambrose to debut; instead, the spot will likely go to Tensai or another second-tier heel. The real thing to watch here will be to see if Ziggs leaves his team high and dry, because...
I do expect Sheamus to win the World Heavyweight Championship tonight and for Ziggler to finally cash in his MITB briefcase. This is a good spot for him to do so, with a lot of attention coming out of the PPV with what could be a very lackluster WWE title defense.
Speaking of that belt, it's obvious that CM Punk is walking out still champ. I'm expecting the bit of tension between John Cena and Ryback to further boil here. With Punk vs. Rock planned for the Rumble, I expect Cena/Ryback to play Hogan/Sid Justice going into the bout with the fullblown heel turn for Ryback coming soon after. Cena/Ryback at 'Mania makes a ton of sense and could be a good marquee matchup while Rock/Punk II takes the main event slot.
As for the other two matches, I expect successful title defences from Eve and Antonio Cesaro over Kaitlyn and R-Truth respectively. In the latter's case, the rumours of Seth Rollins moving up to the main roster could make for a great feud for the two involving the strap.
Enjoy the show!
