Funnyman Jack Black has signed on to star in an as-yet untitled comedy for Nickelodeon, Variety reports.

The film, being directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) and written by Mike White, is based on a true story of Mexican priest (Black) who secretly moonlights as a masked wrestler in order to save an orphanage from shutting down.

"I can't think of two people I'd rather party with than Mike White and Jared Hess," Black told Variety. "I can't wait to get down to Mexico."

Black, who just wrapped up work on King Kong, previously worked with White on The School of Rock and Orange County.

The film begins shooting in the fall.
