I am what you would call a big baseball fan. So this week's voting by the Baseball Writers' Association of America, which resulted in not one single player being elected into the 2013 Hall of Fame, made me very mad.

Hurricane no match for human spirit
I can’t tell you how many arenas I sat inside and heard a familiar entrance theme hit: "Stand back, there’s a Hurricane coming through!" That entrance would blast through the arena and bring fans to their feet. For me, that theme has always been synonymous with the large ovation I would hear every time it was played.

October 28 is a very important day to me; it is the 23rd anniversary of my very first match. It was a great day in the fall of 1989. My hair was a picture-perfect wrestler mullet length -- I would kill for that hair today. I had been attending wrestling training for three months. Well, actually, I was basically getting beat up for three straight months by many other wrestlers, all seeking out their dreams.

This week, I opened the doors to my own professional wrestling school. While driving there, I experienced something I haven’t felt in a long time, nerves. It was more of a nervousness associated with anticipation. It was a good feeling — the kind you got when you wanted to go to bed on Christmas Eve and couldn’t wait to see what Santa Claus was going to bring you.
