REAL NAME: Sonny Siaki
Before turning his attention to pro wrestling, Siaki attended East Carolina University where, in addition to playing linebacker for the East Carolina football team, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Fitness in 1998.
After graduating from the WCW Power Plant, Siaki made several appearances in WCW, mostly on WCW Saturday Night, taking on Alan Funk and Elix Skipper.
Soon, however, Siaki realized that his career was going nowhere in WCW. He had hoped to sign with WWE but instead ended up in California's Urban Wrestling Alliance as "Money". With the demise of the UWA, Siaki arrived in Dusty Rhodes' Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling, where he received additional training from Rhodes and, on July 27, 2002, teamed with Jorge Estrada to win the vacant TCW Tag Team titles.
By July, of course, Siaki was already a part of the new NWA-TNA promotion, having debuted a month earlier. Estrada, Jimmy Yang and Siaki were part of the Flying Elvises, who defeated Jerry Lynn, A.J. Styles and Low-Ki in a six-man match on TNA's debut. Within weeks, however, Siaki broke away from his Flying Elvis teammates and defeated Yang in a best-of-three-falls match on August 21, 2002. A little over a month later, he would make the split official by burning his uniform after a match against the Amazing Red.
After feuding with his former partners for a while, Siaki turned his attention to Jerry Lynn. At first, it seemed as if Lynn might have the upper hand, getting several victories over Siaki, including in the second round of the #1 contender's tournament in October.
But then, in December 2002, three major events in Siaki's young career took place. On December 11th, he defeated Lynn to win the X-Division Championship. Later he found himself with a valet in Desire and a week after his title victory, Siaki joined Vince Russo's Sports Entertainment Xtreme stable.
As 2003 began, Siaki split his time between X Division title defences in TNA and making appearances in independent organizations such as Xtreme Pro Wrestling and Live Action Wrestling. On February 12, Kid Kash defeated Siaki to win the X Division title.
After alternately teaming with and battling the Sandman (who eliminated Siaki from the Hard 10 tournamnent in June 2003), Siaki remained a part of Russo's S.E.X. group, and began teaming regularly with Ekmo Fatu, battling America's Most Wanted and the team of Danny Doring and Roadkill.
In January, 2004, Siaki almost lost his job in TNA after refusing to sign Jeff Jarrett's Loyalty Pledge and had to defeat Kid Kash to stay with the company. He would begin teaming with Simon Diamond and was later reunited with his valet, Desire, as they battled Glen Gilbertti, Johnny Swinger and Trinity throughout the spring and summer of 2004.
During the summer, however, Sonny Siaki lost a match to Abyss, allowing Goldilocks to gain control of his contract. Siaki would battle Abyss in August 2004, often getting help from Eric Watts. Meanwhile, Siaki was wrestling in Georgia Championship Wrestling, teaming with David Young to win the GCW Tag Team titles and winning the Georgia Heavyweight Championship. In 2005, Siaki teamed with Bull Buchanan and David Young to form Bad Company, although Buchanan and Young would later turn on Siaki. Later he would be part of Dusty Rhodes' team that took on Tully Blanchard's team in a Wargames match at Georgia Championship Wrestling's first anniversary card.
In NWA-TNA, Siaki continued to be active in the X-Division and formed a short-lived tag team with Johnny B. Badd. As 2005 wore on, however, Siaki formed a more lengthy team with Gran Apollo, and was splitting his time between TNA and GCW.
At the end of 2005, however, Siaki chose to not resign with TNA and instead signed a developmental deal with WWE. Currently, he works for Deep South Wrestling.
