SLAM! Wrestling Canadian Hall of Fame: Kelly Twins, Pat & Mike
REAL NAMES: William (Mike) and Victor (Pat) Arko
6', 240 pounds each
BORN: Kirkland Lake, Ont.
AKA: Super Destroyers in Ontario, Von Shultz Brothers in Michigan
Though the Kelly Twins never made it big on a national scale in pro
wrestling, the duo was well known
across Canada for their appearances in commercials for Oh Henry chocolate
bars, Pizza Delight, Coors
beer and Canada Trust.
Like other twin tag-teams, they would switch in the
ring behind the referee's back,
and other shifty tactics.
Pat Kelly (Victor Arko) was killed July 5, 1988 in
Newfoundland in a van crash
with Dave 'Wildman' McKigney and Keith 'Adorable Adrian Adonis' Franke. Mike
Kelly was also in the
car, but survived with leg injuries.
Mike Kelly was involved in the Hamilton-based Canadian International Championship Wrestling organization in the late 1990s, along with Bob Clarke and Johnny K-9.
Pat Kelly quote in 1986:
"Wrestling's like any profession, if you don't act you're not going to sell.
You got to entertain them."
