REAL NAME: LAUREN WILLIAMS
NICKNAMES: Angel Williams, Canadian Angel, Angelina Love
SIZE: 5-foot-6, 118-pounds
BORN: September 13, 1981 in Toronto, Ontario

What hasn't Lauren Williams done? She has a sports administration degree from Oshawa, Ontario's Durham College, has worked as a personal trainer and fitness model, and appeared on television programs like The Jenny Jones Show and Kenny vs. Spenny. She even has a role in the indy comedy film, Good Intentions. But by far the biggest splash made by this angel fanatic, (she has five tattoos representing or spelling out "angel"), has been in professional wrestling, as the gorgeous but reviled TNA heel Angelina Love.

A wrestling fan since the age of seven, Williams didn't wait long to get into the business. At 18, she was chatting with a ring announcing friend, asking if he could suggest any promotions she should contact. Williams made her debut in August 2000, managing "Dangerboy" Derek Wylde for the Hardcore Wrestling Federation. She would go on to manage a number of names on the indy circuit, including "Showtime" Eric Young, Chris Sabin, Scott D'Amore, Simon Diamond, and Johnny Swinger.

The role of the valet, though, wouldn't be enough for Williams, who longed to do some wrestling of her own. After training under Rob Fuego, she made her in-ring debut in July 2002. She appeared for numerous independent promotions, but said wrestling for D'Amore's Border City Wrestling was always a highlight for her.

Williams often expressed her desire to get into the WWE, and it didn't take long for her wish to come to fruition. She had a tryout in June 2004 and was invited back. Williams went to WWE's then-developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in mid-November, where she trained with Lance Storm and Bill DeMott. Thereafter, she worked a Raw and Smackdown taping, and in December she received her WWE Christmas present -- a developmental contract.

WWE sent Williams down to its other developmental league, Deep South Wrestling (DSW). A serious knee injury forced her to the sidelines in February 2006, and reconstructive surgery and rehabbing kept her out until August. She kept wrestling with them until WWE severed its ties to DSW in April 2007. WWE brought her up to OVW, but she only lasted one match, as she got unexpectedly released from her contract in May.

Only one month passed before Konnan was introducing Mexico's AAA fans to the "Canadian Angel." She worked there and other promotions, including British Columbia's Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling, until TNA came calling. She had previously appeared there in 2004 on NWA-TNA Xplosion, but would now make her "official" debut at Bound for Glory, where she wrestled in a 10-Knockouts Gauntlet match to crown the first women's champion.

Although she and the others came up short against the eventual winner, Gail Kim, Williams, who would soon become Angelina Love, would acquire something equally important, something that would keep her in the public eye -- a lovely partner by the name of Velvet Sky. Together, as The Beautiful People, they would wreak havoc on the TNA Knockout division.

They had some early feuds against Kim and ODB, but seemed to want to save their most obnoxious, mean-spirited play for Roxxi Leveaux, which was highlighted at Sacrifice, where they shaved her head bald. They got some added muscle in the form of Moose, but it wasn't enough to prevent Kim, ODB, and Laveaux from giving them their comeuppance at Slammiversary.

Moose didn't last long, but The Beautiful People managed to replace her when they recruited Kip James as their enforcer. With his help, they would go after old enemies as well as new, including Christy Hemme and the new Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde. But it would be The Beautiful People who'd lose face, as they'd be fooled into thinking vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin was grooming them for her cabinet. Eventually, Laveaux, Wilde and "Palin" (played by Daffney), would mock and drop mud all over Love and Sky on an episode of Impact.

In spite of Palin's identity being outed, the angle continued (with Daffney now referred to as "The Governor" thanks to Obama's presidential victory), as the two sides kept on trying to best the other. The Beautiful People soon got the edge, as they convinced TNA's newest Knockout, Madison Rayne, to turn on Wilde and join them, now calling their trio My Pie Sexy. It wasn't enough, however, to get a win over Wilde, Laveaux and The Governor at Destination X.

After getting back at The Governor by cutting off some of her hair, The Beautiful People next turned their attention to Champion Awesome Kong and Raesha Saeed, whom they managed to beat on Impact in a tag team match. They even went so far as to try and chop Kong's braids, and the following week, cut off some of Wilde's hair. The girls were on a roll, and with their dominant numbers, The Beautiful People finally managed to get a few locks of Kong's hair. But their greatest triumph came at Lockdown, when Love took on Kong and Wilde in a three-way title match and pinned Wilde to become the new TNA Knockouts Champion.

Kong wouldn't stay down without a fight, and stalked The Beautiful People with seriously bad intentions. She first disrupted their celebration, going so far as to give one of the male dancers in attendance an Awesome Bomb. She followed that up by annihilating Rayne and Sky in stretcher matches. Even Kip couldn't stop Kong, as he too would be placed on a stretcher for the 10 count. Now it was time for Love to panic, for this enraged and apparently unstoppable Kong, who had cut a swath through Love's buffer zone, was coming for her next.
