Main Event: Usos retain titles in triple threat challenge

The Usos have aimed to be fighting champions ever since they claimed the WWE Tag Team Championships. Tonight on WWE Main Event, an open challenge has been granted by The Authority. The Usos will defend their belts in a triple-threat match. Who will step up to take the challenge? Plus, "Mr. Money in the Bank" Seth Rollins is in action! All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!

We are LIVE from Seattle, Wash. Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton have the call for this week.

WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos kick us off. Jey Uso with microphone and he tells his brother that he heard The Authority issued an open challenge for their belts. Jimmy with the mic and he says they went to ask for the open challenge themselves because they want to get Uso crazy, they love to compete, and they want to be known as the best. Jey recalls teams like The Hart Foundation, The Road Warriors, Edge & Christian, and the New Age Outlaws. Jimmy asks if he has been watching the WWE Network and the crowd chants the price before they get down to the open challenge.

RybAxel make their way out. Curtis Axel mocks The Usos and him and Ryback clap. Axel tells them to consider the challenge accepted. Ryback tells Axel he's Uso crazy and they plan to take the titles that would look so good around their waists.

Rob Van Dam heads to the ring. RVD tells The Usos to look no further than him if they want a challenger. Ryback tells the "singlet-stealing 'Feed Me Moron'" that he needs a partner to compete tonight. RVD introduces his partner as WWE United States Champion Sheamus and RybAxel immediately starts a shoving match. WWE Director of Wrestling Operations Kane makes his way out and makes the match a triple-threat for later tonight.

Video package previews the SummerSlam "Biggest Fight of the Summer" between WWE Champion John Cena and Brock Lesnar.

Match One: Seth Rollins vs. Kofi Kingston

Lockup sees Seth Rollins back Kofi Kingston into the corner and work him down. Kingston fighting back with shots and floating over out of the corner, only to be dropped to the mat once again by a side kick. Rollins yanking Kingston to the mat and landing a throw by the hair of Kingston. Elbow drop connects after Rollins steps on the head and Kingston choked on the rope. Neckbreaker earns Rollins the first nearfall of the contest.

Rear chinlock applied by Rollins. Kingston up to his feet and landing body shots, only to be dropped by Rollins. Rollins takes too much time to capitalize and Kingston runs behind him and lands a springboard dropkick. Dropkicks and clotheslines landing for Kingston. Back suplex flipped out of by Kingston and back bodydrop sends Rollins outside. Flip dive over the top lands for Kingston. Rollins moves outside again after Kingston puts him in and catches Kingston from the apron to throw him into the barricade as we break.

Rollins lands a forearm in the corner as we return. Rollins attempting to get a rear-naked choke, but Kingston laying back and getting a nearfall. Rollins bridges up and runs Kingston into the corner. Stalking Kingston, Rollins runs into a pendulum kick in the corner and Kingston lands a forearm from the top. Kicks landing for Kingston and a back bodydrop is followed by a clothesline. Boom Drop connects for Kingston, but Trouble in Paradise misses. Rollins ties up and tries to run Kingston into the corner. Rolling off, Rollins caught by a crossbody that nearly gets Kingston the pin.

Rollins with a chopping blow to the throat. In the corner, Kingston runs into a reverse STO into the turnbuckle that nearly steals the win for Rollins. Powerbomb attempt from Rollins turned into a hurricanrana that sends Rollins headfirst into the turnbuckles for a nearfall. SOS nearly wins it for Kingston. Rollins on the apron and hits a hangman's neckbreaker. Up top, Rollins crotched and Kingston meets him. Fight for position ensues and Rollins with a sunset flip that leads to a corner powerbomb. Curb Stomp connects as Kingston is hunched over.

Winner by pinfall: Seth Rollins

Renee Young joined by Sheamus and Rob Van Dam. Young asks RVD about his choice of partner. RVD says it has been a long time since he has held gold in the WWE and tonight is the night to win it. RVD says Sheamus approached him and Sheamus says the two are like yin and yang as RVD is laid back and he likes to fight.

Raw Rebound shows the rivalry between WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella, including Brie Bella being arrested after assaulting Daniel Bryan's physical therapist that claimed to be having an affair with Bryan.

Triple Threat Match Two for the WWE Tag Team Championships: The Usos (c) vs. Rob Van Dam & Sheamus vs. RybAxel

Jimmy Uso and Ryback start off. Lockup sees Jimmy grab a waistlock and Ryback back him into the corner. Swing and a miss from Ryback leads to a reset. Waistlock takedown from Ryback lands and he toys with Jimmy. Jimmy drops him with a right and follows with another before working an arm wrench. Ryback with a side headlock and shoulder bump before running into a heel kick for a nearfall by Jimmy.

Jey in with a running forearm in the corner and Ryback tags Sheamus, only to be dropped with a punch. Sheamus with a side headlock and shoulder bump. Hip toss blocked by Sheamus and a clothesline misses, as Jey ducks for a rollup nearfall. Jey sends Sheamus off the ropes and Ryback with a sneak tag. Sheamus blindsided and worked into the corner Sheamus fights out and RVD tagged in. Rolling senton to Ryback by Sheamus followed by a Rolling Thunder for an RVD nearfall.

RVD up top and distracted by Curtis Axel, who is kicked to the floor. RybAxel taken out by an RVD crossbody from the top to the floor as we break.

We return with Sheamus connecting on Beats of the Bodhran on Ryback. Battering Ram connects on Ryback and Axel taken off the apron. Brogue Kick caught by Ryback and turned into a powerbomb for a nearfall. Sheamus laid on the top rope and Ryback with an axhandle to the back of the head of Sheamus for a nearfall.

Axel returns to the match and choking Sheamus with the boot. RybAxel working Sheamus and Ryback with a splash before applying the rear chinlock. Sheamus fights out and runs into a spinebuster that almost gets RybAxel the belts. Rear chinlock reapplied and Sheamus hits a stunner to get out. Battering Ram caught by Ryback, only to be elbowed out of by Sheamus to hit White Noise. Both men down.

Axel and RVD in. Clotheslines connecting for RVD. Axel misses a splash in the corner and a springboard thrust kick connects. Leg sweep into a standing moonsault get RVD a nearfall. Out of the corner, RVD hits a back elbow and Jimmy Uso tags in and hits a crossbody that nearly retains the belts. Side kick to the midsection and a chop land for Jimmy. Axel fighting back and a head kick connects for Jimmy. Hip attack out of the corner misses as Axel escapes, but a corkscrew nearly wins it for Jimmy.

Meat Hook Clothesline from Ryback misses and Jimmy hits him with a side kick. Sheamus with a clothesline that takes both men outside. Jey with a dive over the top to take both men out. Axel with a rollup from behind and Jimmy kicks out to land a Samoan Drop. Nearfall for Jimmy and he heads up top. RVD tags in and hits a thrust kick from the top that nearly pins Axel. Ryback breaks the pin and eats a Brogue Kick. Jey Uso with a superkick that sends Sheamus out and Axel with a running knee. Spin kick lands for RVD and he heads up top. Axel meets him. Axel shoved down and Jimmy tags RVD. Frog Splash lands and splash from The Usos lands.

Winners by pinfall and still WWE Tag Team Champions: The Usos

The show closes with The Usos celebrating with their WWE Tag Team Championships.
