Smackdown!: Dolph Ziggler, Big Show pay the price for questioning Seth Rollins
By DALE PLUMMER -- SLAM! Wrestling

We all knew it was inevitable, but no one saw the break-up of The Shield going down like this. On Monday Night, Seth Rollins turned on his Shield brethren with a steel chair and joined Evolution. Oh, and Batista quit earlier in the evening. Rollins has some explaining to do, tonight, in Cincinnati.

Triple H, the COO of WWE and the leader of Evolution, walks out to a arena of jeers with Seth Rollins in tow. Interesting, enough, Rollins is in his Shield gear. "You sold out!" chants rain down on Rollins, as Triple H gloats over his win. Hunter says he is here to get answers from Rollins. The former member of Shield says only he knows why he did what he did.

Dolph Ziggler of all people, walks out on stage, knowing that he'll probably taking a beating and pushed even further down for saying this, but by turning his back on his brothers, Rollins has done the worst thing ever. Hunter is glad that Dolph has shown some initiative and tonight he will catch a beating, from Seth Rollins.

Match #1 - Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins

Hunter stays at ringside for the match. Rollins kicks Ziggler into the corner and then drops a knee across the back of his head. Ziggler connects with a cross body block and then sends Rollins to the floor with a clothesline over the top rope. Ziggler puts his hand up for the test of strenght, but Rollins kicks him in the gut. Ziggler counters a tilt-a-whirl back breaker into a sleeper hold. Rollins breaks free with a chin breaker and the drop kicks Dolph off the apron and we go to break.

After the commercials, Rollins slams Dolph in to the middle turnbuckle, but then runs into a back elbow. Ziggler follows with a DDT and a flying clothesline. Ziggler drops an elbow after a neck breaker, but Rollins kicks out after a two count. Rollins counters the famouser, but Dolph rolls through and is able to hit in anyway. A kick to the temple sends Ziggler to the floor, but Dolph is able to catch Rollins on the top turnbuckle. Ziggler can't get the cover, though. Ziggler runs into a kick and Rollins power bombs him into the turnbuckle. Ziggler is finished off with the curb stomp and Rollins covers for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Seth Rollins

Renee Young talks to Bad News Barrett about his upcoming match with Cesaro and Rob Van Dam. Barrett doesn't think it's fair to have to defend his title in a triple threat, but he will still come out on top.

Backstage, Big Show confronts Triple H and Rollins, calling him a sellout. Hunter tells Show he can take on Randy Orton, tonight, then.

Match #2 - The Usos vs. Rybaxel

The Usos pick up the win after a splash to Curtis Axel from the top turnbuckle.

Winners via pinfall: The Usos

Match #3 - Rusev w/ Lana vs. Xavier Woods

Woods comes out dressed like Apollo Creed from Rocky IV; someone might want to tell Woods how that match ended. Woods runs into a kick and hits the mat hard. Rusev stomps on his back and locks in the Accolade. Woods taps.

Winner via submission: Rusev

Match #4 RVD (challenger) vs. Cesaro (challenger) vs. Bad News Barrett (champion) - Triple Threat Intercontinental Title Match

Barrett and RVD gang up on Cesaro, sending him out of the ring. RVD tolls up Barrett, but the IC champ kicks out. RVD hits Rolling Thunder on Cesaro and Barrett, but can't get a pin on either. Cesaro tosses RVD out of the ring and stomps away at Barrett in the corner. Barrett turns the tables on Cesaro, but is attacked from behind by RVD, who follows up with a split-legged moonsault and we go to break.

After the commercials, the fight is on the floor. Cesaro slams Barrett into the barrier, as RVD takes out Cesaro with a moonsault. RVD connects with a leg drop on Barrett in the ring. Cesaro breaks up the pin. RVD nearly rolls up Cesaro, but is pushed off and right into the Winds of Change from Barrett. A thrust kick takes out Barrett, but Cesaro hits a German suplex on RVD. Barrett hangs Cesaro up on the top rope, allowing RVD to hit the Five Star Frog Splash. Barrett takes out RVD with the Bull Hammer and covers RVD to get the win.

Winner via pinfall...and still Intercontinental Champion: Bad News Barrett

Bray Wyatt cuts a promo addressing his loss to John Cena and Payback. He says he has been reborn.

Match #5 Natalya vs. Alicia Fox

Natalya picks up the win after Alicia can't pick her up on a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Natalya slams Alicia into the mat for the cover.

Winner via pinfall: Natalya

After the bell, Alicia loses her mind, terrorizing poor Lillian Garcia.

If you missed Payback on Sunday, Brie Bella quit so Daniel Bryan could keep his WWE Heavyweight Title.

Match #6 Bo Dallas vs. Santino w/ Emma

Bo celebrates an early take down by taking a victory lap around the ring. Santino hits an arm drag and celebrates outside the ring. Bo goes for the handshake, but then pulls Santino in for a clothesline. Dallas hits the running Bo-dog and covers for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Bo Dallas

Bo takes his victory lap and touts his 5 and 0 record.

Renee Young asks Big Show about his upcoming match with Randy Orton. Show says Evolution is a bunch of bullies, and he know how to deal with bullies.

Randy Orton tells Byron Saxton that he isn't worried about his match with Big Show.

Match #7 The Big Show vs. Randy Orton

Orton takes Show down and applies a head lock. Show breaks free and knocks Orton down with a clothesline. Orton connects with a drop kick and stomps away at Show on the apron. Orton hits the elevated DDT with Show on the top rope. Orton shoots off the ropes, but right into a spear from Show. Triple H leaps to the apron, but Show grabs him by the throat. He then get Orton by the throat, but before he can do anything, Seth Rollins runs in. Rollins knees Show in the face and the ref calls for the bell.

Winner via DQ: The Big Show

Orton follows with an RKO, as Triple H grabs a chair. Rollins puts the chair under Show and stomps his face into it. Evolution stands victorious in the ring to end the show.
