Smackdown!: Bray Wyatt is the Last Man Standing heading into Payback
By DALE PLUMMER -- SLAM! Wrestling

Smackdown returns to North America, tonight, and it's the final show before WWE Payback. Daniel Bryan's title reign is still in a holding pattern, so there really isn't anything to get excited about for the show on Sunday. Although, tonight's show gives WWE one last chance to entice us to watch on Sunday.

The Shield makes their way to the ring to kick off the show. Seth Rollins says they are stronger because of Evolution and now they are even more focused after getting jumped on Monday night. Dean Ambrose wants to know how crazy Evolution is willing to get, while Rollins points out there will be a stretcher at ringside. Roman Reigns tells Evolution they made a big mistake when they power bombed him through an announce table. Believe in the Shield.

Match #1 - Kofi Kingston vs. Cesaro

Before the match, Kofi says tonight he starts on the path back to the United States Title.

Cesaro military presses Kofi and whips him into the corner. Kofi flies off the top rope to catch Cesaro with a right hand. Cesaro runs into a kick, and Kofi goes up top, again. Cesaro side steps Kofi and connects with an uppercut. Kofi is out cold and Cesaro covers for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Cesaro

After the bell, Cesaro sends a message to Sheamus by hitting Kofi with the Nuetralizer.

Renee Young wants to talk to Bad News Barrett about the hurdles he is facing. Barrett says he has some bad news for people that think he is in trouble on Sunday. The Intercontinental Champion says all RVD has is his hand gestures, and that he isn't afraid of facing Sheamus, tonight.

Match #2 - Paige vs. Tamina Snuka

Alicia Fox runs down and grabs the Diva's Title. She parades it around the ring, throwing Paige off her game. Paige hits Tamina with elbows and takes her down with a clothesline. Paige turns her attention to Alicia, and almost gets hit with a Samoan Drop. Paige counters with the Paige Turner, and the applies the scorpion cross lock, AKA the PTO. Tamina taps out.

Winner via submission: Paige

Renee Young wants to know why there is bad blood between Sheamus and Cesaro. Sheamus says this started when Cesaro refused to shake his hand and attacked him. Sheamus says he's going to kick Barrett's teeth in tonight.

Remember people, all you have to do is BOLIEVE!

Match #3 - Bo Dallas vs. Xavier Woods

Bo thanks everyone for his undefeated start in WWE and tells everyone to keep BOLIEVING. Bo celebrates his opening volley of offense and then sends Woods to the floor. Dallas hits a back suplex and follows with an elbow drop. Woods fights back with a forearm shiver and a drop kick. Dallas kicks out of the pin. Woods goes up top, but Dallas drop kick him out of mid air and sets up the Bo Dog. Dallas covers and gets the win.

Winner via pinfall: Bo Dallas

Dallas once again takes a victory lap around the ring and tells the crowd they are all winners. He walks over and hugs Woods.

Match #4 El Torito vs. Jinder Mahal

Why didn't this end after Extreme Rules? There is now way Torito and Hornswoggle are topping the Wee-L-C match. Anyway, Torito somehow pins Mahal.

Winner via pinfall: Torito

Match #5 Sheamus vs. Bad News Barrett

Paul Heyman joins the announce position. Sheamus hits a high running knee, but then runs into a knee from Barrett. Sheamus recovers to hit the Irish Curse back breaker and follows with chops to the chest. Barrett fights out of White Noise and then ducks a Brogue Kick. Barrett hits the Winds of Change, but Sheamus is able to kick out. Sheamus rolls though Wasteland and pops up to hit the Brogue Kick. Sheamus covers to get the win.

Winner via pinfall: Sheamus

After the bell, Sheamus grabs Heyman, but then lets him go.

Renee Young asks The Usos how they feel after the beating they took on Main Event from the Wyatt Family. Jey says despite the tape, his ribs are fine and tonight, Jimmy has something for the Wyatts.

Match #6 Titus O'Neill vs. Big E

Alexander Rusev and Lana walk out on stage to watch the match, but first she delivers some anti-American rhetoric. O'Neill tries to take advantage of the distraction, but Big E fights him off and delivers the Big Ending to get the win.

Winner via pinfall: Big E

Match #7 Adam Rose vs. Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter

Did you know that Zach Ryder wears the bunny suit in Rose's entourage? (Ed. note - This cannot be confirmed. What's your source? ) Rose ducks a clothesline and throws Swagger off his game by jumping into his arms. Rose kicks Swagger coming back into the ring and then gets the pin with modified bridge to steal the win.

Winner via pinfall: Adam Rose

Match #8 Jimmy Uso w/ Jey vs. Bray Wyatt w/ Luke Harper and Erik Rowan - Last Man Standing Match

Bray opens with punches and a big clothesline. Jimmy connects with a heel kick and Bray rolls to the apron. Jimmy knocks him to the floor and takes him out with a suicide dive over the top rope. Bray gets to his feet and we go to break.

After the commercials, Bray is in control, tossing Uso across the ring. Jimmy gets back to his feet at seven, only to get punched in the face. Jimmy takes Bray for a ride with a Samoan Drop. Bray flies over the top rope after Jimmy ducks at the ropes. Uso runs along the barrier, jumps over Bray and catches him with a thrust kick. Bray gets to his feet, though, and climbs back into the ring. Bray works Jimmy over in the corner and sets him up on the top turnbuckle. Jimmy fights out of it and uses a head butt to send Bray to the mat. Jimmy follows with a splash and the ref starts the count. Bray gets to his feet at 8. Bray tosses Jimmy out of the ring and then runs over him with a tackle. Jimmy fights out of pile driver and kicks Bray in the head. Jimmy then slams Wyatt into the security barrier and the ref starts the count. Bray gets to his feet at 9, as Harper and Rowan attack Jey Uso. Jimmy lines up Bray on ring steps, but Bray rolls out of the way. Jimmy crashes into the steel, and Bray follows with the Sister Abigail. The ref starts the count and Jimmy can't get to his feet giving Bray the win.

Winner: Bray Wyatt
