Main Event: Sheamus tangles with Heyman guy Cesaro

WWE United States Champion Sheamus has never been known to back down from a fight. With the newly-won belt around his waist, the stakes have gotten raised. Tonight on WWE Main Event, Sheamus takes on Paul Heyman's newest client, "The King of Swing" Cesaro. What will go down between these two bruising brawlers? Plus, Alicia Fox and Damien Sandow continue their revolt against the WWE! All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!
We are LIVE from Greensboro, N.C. Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton have the call for this week.
Renee Young kicks us off in the ring with Paul Heyman. Young asks about his client Cesaro's match tonight with WWE United States Champion Sheamus. Heyman chides Young for mentioning anyone in the same breathe as his clients, immediately reminding us that Brock Lesnar conquered "The Streak" at WrestleMania.
Sheamus enters the ring. Sheamus asks if he heard Heyman correctly about him not being mentioned with other Paul Heyman guys. Sheamus remarks how Heyman loves introducing himself, so he introduces himself as the WWE United States Champion. Sheamus gives him five second to leave the ring before he gets Brogue Kicked. Heyman asks if this behavior around a woman is acceptable, to which Sheamus politely asks Young to leave the ring. Heyman starts screaming about his role as an advocate. Heyman now egging Sheamus to kick him as he counts. Heyman scurries out of the ring at the count of four, allowing Cesaro to sneak attack Sheamus and land a Neutralizer.
Heyman reenters the ring as Cesaro goes for the Cesaro Swing and tells his client to walk. Heyman remarks to Sheamus that he didn't have Cesaro swing him into oblivion so there would be something left of him later tonight.
Prior to the match, Damien Sandow attempts to air his grievances with the WWE before being interrupted by Dolph Ziggler.
Match One: Damien Sandow vs. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler gets the rear waistlock. Damien Sandow steps to make a rope break and elbows Ziggler as the referee steps in. Ziggler leapfrogging and ducking to land a dropkick. Ziggler sent into the ring post by Sandow and Sandow with an elbow as Ziggler is laid across the apron. Sledgehammer smash inside gets Sandow a nearfall.
Knee drops landing and Sandow applies a rear chinlock. Ziggler landing body shots and sent into the corner. Back elbows and strikes landing until Sandow hits a drop toehold into the second turnbuckle. Sandow stomping Ziggler and landing a right hand. Splash in the corner misses for Sandow and Ziggler capitalizes with a clothesline. Corner splash followed by mounted strikes for Ziggler lead to a neckbreaker for his first nearfall.
Famouser attempt is ducked by Sandow. Rollup with a handful of tights is kicked out of by Ziggler. Sandow applying a variation of the figure-four leglock. Ziggler crawls to the bottom rope and makes it for the rope break. Sandow stomping him down and the referee breaks the offense. Ziggler with a Zig Zag from behind.
Winner by pinfall: Dolph Ziggler
Raw Rebound shows The Shield continuing to battle Evolution and The Authority.
Prior to the match, Alicia Fox grabs a microphone and tells Emma she is surprised she showed up. Fox throws the microphone at Emma and attacks her relentlessly. The referee breaks the two to make sure Emma can compete.
Match Two: Emma vs. Alicia Fox
Alicia Fox immediately knocks Emma down. Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker allows Fox to throw Emma outside. Fox sends Emma inside after tossing her into the barricade, earning a nearfall in the process.
Emma thrown to the mat by her hair. Fox charges in on a downed Emma in the corner and runs into a drop toehold. Emma-mite Sandwich is countered by a push kick from Fox. Fox working Emma against the ropes. Irish Whip attempt is countered into a schoolboy rollup from Emma.
Winner by pinfall: Emma
Post-match, Alicia Fox chases Emma down and is unable to get to her. Fox corners the referee and moves outside. Fox attacks ringside crew and ring announcer Tony Chimel. Fox then stuffs paper down the mouths of Byron Saxton and Tom Phillips and makes a mess of the announce table. Fox shouts "underrate this" as she stands on the apron.
Renee Young catches up with Sheamus backstage. Young asks if Sheamus is cleared to compete tonight. Sheamus says there will be no match tonight because it will be a fight.
Raw Rebound shows the escalation of problems between WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, and Bryan's wife Brie Bella.
Match Three: Sheamus vs. Cesaro (w/Paul Heyman)
Sheamus starts fast and Cesaro gets the better of the striking. Clothesline off a hip toss attempt lands for Sheamus and corner work connecting. Knee drop from Sheamus leads to Cesaro fighting back with uppercuts. Both men exchanging uppercuts now and Sheamus with a shoulder ram in the corner.
Cesaro moves outside and Sheamus takes chase as Cesaro consults with Paul Heyman. Cesaro enters the ring, only to be swept by Sheamus and taken outside. Cesaro has his head bounced off the steel steps and he is sent back inside. Cesaro again rolls outside to consult with Heyman.
Cesaro leaps to the apron and lands a trio of uppercuts that lay Sheamus between the top two ropes. DDT on the apron lands for Cesaro and Cesaro with corner work of his own. Sheamus turns it around for corner work of his own and he lands on a flying knee in the corner. Battering ram from the apron gets Sheamus a nearfall.
Beats of the Bodhran land and Sheamus suplexes Cesaro inside for a nearfall. Cesaro works Sheamus into the corner and lands a big boot. Another boot and an uppercut put Sheamus down for a nearfall for Cesaro. Cesaro in control until Sheamus connects on the rolling senton slam. Sheamus up top, but crotched by Cesaro. Sheamus sends Cesaro away, only to be hit with an uppercut and a superplex for a nearfall as we break.
We return with both men exchanging strikes. Backdrop attempt is countered by a kick from Cesaro. Sheamus with the double sledges and a knee lift. Cesaro ends the sequence with a clothesline that nearly steals the match. Sheamus with an Irish Curse backbreaker that nearly takes the match for him.
Cloverleaf attempt is countered by Cesaro with a rollup for a nearfall. Tilt-a-whirl slam from Sheamus gets him another nearfall as the two trade pin attempts. Beats of the Bodhran countered by Cesaro, only for Cesaro to be put up for White Noise. Cesaro out and ducks a Brogue Kick to land a German Suplex with a bridging pin. Neutralizer attempt turned into White Noise from Sheamus, which earns a nearfall.
Brogue Kick sees Cesaro move outside to avoid the attack. Cesaro with a hangman's neckbreaker and he heads up top, only to be sent to the floor. Sheamus up top and he splashes onto Cesaro from the top. Cesaro weary on the timekeeper's barricade. Sheamus charges and gets backdropped into the timekeeper's area. Cesaro breaks the count and sends Sheamus into the barricade.
The referee's count reaches ten after Sheamus sends Cesaro into the barricade and clotheslines him into the crowd.
Post-match, Sheamus sends Cesaro into the steel steps and referees are forced to break the two up. Paul Heyman sneaks a chair to Cesaro and he nails a shot to the midsection. Sheamus inside and looking to recover. Cesaro avoids the officials and goes inside, only to be on the wrong end of a Brogue Kick.
The show closes with Sheamus holding his WWE United States Championship triumphantly as Cesaro is consoled by Paul Heyman outside.
