NXT: Neville risks gold in rematch with Clay

In what could only be described as the classic David vs. Goliath style, Brodus Clay has been looking for gold by calling out NXT Champion Adrian Neville. Tonight on WWE NXT, after a controversial win last week by countout, can Neville retain against Clay? Plus, the NXT Women's Championship Tournament kicks off! All that and more on this week's edition of WWE NXT!

WWE COO Triple H kicks us off. Triple H says the line between the future and the present is blurred because of all the talent that has come from NXT. Triple H remarks that it's like NXT is taking over and announces a live two-hour special on May 29th. NXT Takeover is made official.

We are on tape from Winter Park, Fla. Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, and William Regal have the call for this week.

Match One: Tyson Kidd vs. Bo Dallas

Lockup starts us off and Bo Dallas works Tyson Kidd into the corner. Reset off the break sees Dallas get a side headlock and a shoulder bump. Reset again sees Kidd get a waistlock from behind. Dallas transitions into a side headlock. Kidd sends him off the ropes for a back elbow. Kick to the back and corner work from Kidd get him a snap suplex.

Dallas moves outside as Kidd gets up top. Kidd goes to the apron, but he has kick caught and is swept face-first into the apron by Dallas. Back inside, Dallas gets a series of nearfalls. Back elbow lands for Dallas. Dallas with another. Clothesline from Dallas connects for another nearfall.

Neck crank in for Dallas. Kidd fighting out with body shots and lands a chop. Dropkick misses as Dallas hooks the ropes and Dallas with a nearfall. Knees to Kidd get another for Dallas and he reapplies the neck crank. Elbows to the body from Kidd get him out. Kidd flips out of the back suplex and connects with a back elbow in the corner. Hurricanrana into the second turnbuckle by Kidd and he unleashes a barrage of kicks. Running dropkick nearly wins the match for Kidd.

Backdrop attempt from Dallas countered by a Kidd kick. Dallas catches Kidd running with a belly-to-belly throw that earns a nearfall. Springboard bulldog nearly gets the win for Dallas. Kidd kicks Dallas away and moves to the apron. Up top, Kidd knocked back down to the apron. Enzuigiri from the apron lands and Kidd connects on the Blockbuster from the top.

Winner by pinfall: Tyson Kidd

Post-match, Bo Dallas throws a tantrum in the ring.

Camacho with Devin Taylor backstage. Camacho claims to not be a party pooper and that he throws the best parties. Adam Rose interrupts to inform Camacho that the party is simply wherever he is and a party breaks out as Camacho walks off.

NXT Women's Championship Tournament brackets are revealed.

Bayley compares winning in this tournament to hugs from John Cena, high-fives from WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E, and the same from WWE Divas Champion Paige.

Sasha Banks takes a shot at Paige and says it is now time for her to reign. Banks plans on handling that through Bayley tonight.

NXT Women's Tournament Match Two: Bayley vs. Sasha Banks (w/Charlotte)

Sasha Banks rams Bayley into the corner and hits a snapmare for a quick nearfall. Corner splash from Banks leads to a reverse suplex attempt. Bayley lands on her feet and gets a rollup for her first nearfall of the contest.

Bayley ducks a clothesline for a backslide nearfall. Cradle nearfall soon follows before Banks drops Bayley. Springboard Japanese arm drag converts out of the corner for Bayley. Leapfrog sees Bayley run Banks into the corner and land chops to the back before getting a T-bone suplex nearfall.

Banks counters with a slap and a dropkick into the corner. Bayley has her head bounced off the turnbuckle and Banks with chops to the back. Bayley sends Banks away and gets a backdrop counter. Both women down and Bayley with sledgehammer smashes into a Belly-to-Bayley. Banks moves to the apron and hits a hangman's neckbreaker to recover with a Bankrupt that nearly wins it.

Bayley latches on for a Belly-to-Bayley, but Banks turns her around into a backstabber. Banks rolls back and applies a crossface that Bayley can't escape.

Winner by submission: Sasha Banks

Match Three: Adam Rose vs. Danny Burch

Adam Rose plays to the crowd as Danny Burch gets the wristlock. Rose rolling his way out and around the ring in a show of gamesmanship. Rose with a wristlock that throws Burch. Burch kicking Rose down and landing strikes. Some corner work gets Rose angry and he starts landing punches and chops. Running back elbow and a side kick in the corner leads to a bronco buster. Party Foul lands.

Winner by pinfall: Adam Rose

Post-match, Camacho takes out a member of the party.

Brodus Clay backstage. Clay was tired of having things taken from him and he took away from NXT Champion Adrian Neville last week by knocking out his teeth. Tonight, Clay is going to take the title.

Prior to their match, Natalya and Layla have video promos. Natalya declares how excited she is for the opportunity to wrestle in the NXT Women's Tournament and that it feels like home for her against great competition. Layla says she plans on dancing her way to the title.

NXT Women's Tournament Match Four: Natalya vs. Layla

Lockup sees Layla land an arm drag. Wristlock from Layla sees Natalya counter into a Northern Lights Suplex for a nearfall. Scoop slam attempt from Natalya is countered by Layla pulling her to the mat by her hair. Nearfall off some mounted strikes by Layla. Clothesline drops Natalya for another nearfall.

Surfboard stretch locked in and Natalya with body shots. Layla again yanks her to the mat and lands forearms to the back of the head for a nearfall. Natalya with a cradle for a nearfall of her own.

Surfboard stretch reapplied by Layla. Natalya elbows out and lands a clothesline. Snap suplex lands for Natalya. Sharpshooter attempt is fought off and Layla picked up. Sunset flip try is countered into a Sharpshooter for Natalya.

Winner by submission: Natalya

NXT Champion Adrian Neville backstage. Neville says Clay took his teeth last week, but he had them replaced and now will try to take something irreplaceable away from Clay. Tonight, Neville wants to defend his belt against someone he has worked too hard to lose again and not win by countout.

Match Five: Oliver Grey vs. Mojo Rawley

Oliver Grey opens up with a kick to the midsection and clubs Mojo Rawley down. Knee to the head and more grounding offense for Grey. Rawley puts Grey into the corner and lands two splashes. Hip attack lands and Hyper Drive converts.

Winner by pinfall: Mojo Rawley

Post-match, Aiden English comes out. English is tired of fools and he demands Rawley to get off his canvas. English blindsides Rawley, only to be clotheslined out.

Prior to the match being made official, Brodus Clay grabs the NXT Championship and Adrian Neville goes after him with forearms. Clay charges and gets sent outside after the rope is pulled down on him. Flip dive over the top lands for Neville.

No Disqualification Match Six for the NXT Championship: Adrian Neville (c) vs. Brodus Clay

Adrian Neville with kicks to the legs and the chest. Head kick lands and a side kick knocks Brodus Clay down. Red Arrow is prevented as Clay rolls to the corner. Neville with a running dropkick and another side kick. Elbow lands and Neville goes up top. Neville lands on Clay, who shoves him into the corner as he comes down. Neville stomped down and put in the tree of woe. Splash connects and a T-bone suplex is followed by an elbow drop for a Clay nearfall.

Clay punching Neville down and pawing at his face. Clubbing blow to the back and chest land. Seated splash across the chest of Neville gets a nearfall for Clay.

Neville put up in a backbreaker by Clay. Struggling, Neville finally gets free and lands a chop block to the back of the knee. Running dropkick on the right knee lands for Neville and is soon followed by a dropkick to the head. Neville off the ropes and he runs into a headbutt. Clay with a powerbomb and he heads to the second rope. Splash lands and Neville somehow kicks out.

Clay outside and he brings in the NXT Championship. Clay charges a cornered Neville, who lands a side kick. Clay knocked down and Neville up top. Red Arrow connects.

Winner by pinfall and still NXT Champion: Adrian Neville

The show closes with NXT Champion Adrian Neville displaying his title proudly around the ring.
