Impact: Magnus retains in four corners bout

While his means may be unclean, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus has proven time after time that he will keep the belt around his waist. Tonight on TNA Impact, things may not turn out that way as the champion defends his belt against Samoa Joe, Eric Young, and business partner Abyss in a four-way match. Plus, Bully Ray teams with Willow against Ethan Carter III and Bobby Roode in a tag tables match. All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

Recap of all the latest events in TNA.

Tables Match One: Ethan Carter III & Bobby Roode vs. Bully Ray & Willow

The match starts off with a brawl. Bully Ray and Willow getting the better of Bobby Roode and Ethan Carter III with corner work. Bully drops on all fours and Willow splashes Roode. Splash from Bully compounded by the same attack from Willow. Wishbone of the legs from Bully followed by a diving headbutt to the groin from Willow.

Bully calls for Willow to get the tables and one is brought in. Roode and EC3 use the opportunity to knock their opponents down. Backdrop from both men almost puts Willow through the table, but Bully moves it out of the way before being double-teamed by EC3 and Roode. Roode and EC3 now set up the table in the center of the ring and try for a suplex, but Willow moves the table out of the way. Roode sent outside by a step-over kick and EC3 drops Willow with a clothesline.

EC3 now left with Willow and he drives him into the mat face-first. Willow howling and he sends EC3 into the corner for a backflip splash. Corner dropkick is followed by a pair of Twist of Fates. Table set up near the corner and Willow going up top.

Rockstar Spud wheels his way down the ramp. Willow comes down from the top and dropkicks Spud before taking him backstage with him. Bully up top, but he is nearly shoved through the table by Roode. Double team from both is stopped by low blows from Bully. Roode gorilla pressed into EC3 and Bully drops both with clotheslines. Jabs followed by a bionic elbow for both men. Powerbomb attempt by Bully is stopped by Roode, who misses on a Roode Bomb. Bully off the ropes and he walks into a spinebuster through the table.

Winners: Ethan Carter III & Bobby Roode

Post-match, Roode and EC3 set up another table and Bully is put through it with a Roode Bomb. EC3 heads out, but Roode calls for another table. Bully laid down on the table after a barrage of right hands. Roode heads up top and splashes him right through the table.

"King of the Night" Kenny King shown entering the arena on a golf cart. King tips the driver and asks an assistant what is planned for him tonight. King is told he has no match and he goes off looking for TNA Director of Wrestling Operations MVP after tipping the assistant.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus shown entering the arena. Magnus tells the camera crew not to worry about Abyss, as they are still on the same page.

TNA Director of Wrestling Operations MVP gives a rundown of tonight's card. Kenny King attempts to talk to MVP and is told that he will be caught up with later as MVP hypes the show.

Mr. Anderson makes his way out with a straitjacket and introduces himself before calling Samuel Shaw out for a straitjacket match. Shaw makes his way out and declares that he is not a "creepy bastard." Shaw deems his hands as precious and creators of art, while Anderson and everyone in attendance do nothing with them because they are ordinary. Shaw says Christy Hemme loves him and Anderson attacks.

Straitjacket Match Two: Mr. Anderson vs. Samuel Shaw

Samuel Shaw knocked off the apron with a right hand and Mr. Anderson landing strikes. Shaw fighting back with knees, but he gets sent into the steel steps. Anderson attempting to lock Shaw in the straitjacket, but he is kicked into the steps as we break.

We return to Shaw hitting a clothesline with the straitjacket. Shaw with a choke hold and a right hand. Shaw gets the arms of Anderson in the straitjacket, but he is punched off. Punches and clotheslines landing. Spinning neckbreaker connects and is soon followed by a rolling fireman's carry slam.

Anderson now attempting to put on the straitjacket. Both arms in and Shaw kicks the groin of Anderson. Kata Gatame arm triangle choke locked in by Shaw. Anderson fades slowly to the ground and Shaw putting the arms in the straitjacket. Anderson regains consciousness for a moment, but only gets locked in the Kata Gatame again. Shaw struggles, but the straitjacket is locked up.

Winner: Samuel Shaw

The Beautiful People interviewed in their dressing room. Angelina Love says this is years in the making and they plan to rewrite history tonight. Velvet Sky believes TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne tried to outshine the stars that made her and they are ready for her and her tag partner tonight.

Eric Young asked about his shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship shot. Young says this is about guilt for unleashing Abyss back on the world, but life works out mysteriously and he earned his shot tonight. Young plans on taking advantage of it.

Announcers inform us that a best-of-three series between TNA X Division Champion Sanada and Tigre Uno will have the belt on the line as they make their way out.

Kenny King interrupts before the match and steps in the ring. King declares that he is in the building and he wants to lock the spotlight down. King sees the talent in the ring, but declares that he is the X Division. King was born to do this and says he was doing things as a toddler that Mil Mascaras could only dream of.

MVP makes his way out. MVP asks if King has lost his mind. MVP asks what King is doing interrupting his show. King questions whether the show is truly his, but MVP says it has been ever since he sent TNA President Dixie Carter home. King declares himself the biggest star in the ring. MVP asks him to join him in his office backstage after threatening to make him see stars. King only will leave when he can main event Impact. MVP says the show is booked and King calls MVP out for an exhibition match. The two agree to one later tonight.

Best-of-Three Series Match Three for the TNA X Division Championship: Sanada (c) vs. Tigre Uno

Tigre Uno drags Sanadda down with a wristlock and transitions into a side headlock. Leapfrogging and ducking allows Uno to land a dropkick that sends Sanada into the corner. Boots of Sanada caught by Uno and he sends him outside with an enzuigiri. Dropkick lands for Uno as Sanada returns to the ring. Surfboard stretch in for Uno. Sanada out and dropping Uno with back elbows. Flying chop from the top connects. Arm drag and backdrop suplex connect. Standing moonsault misses, but Sanada with a dropkick to the back for the first nearfall.

Whip into the corner sees Sanada sidestep Uno, who misses a splash in the corner. Rolling cradle pin from Sanada nearly grabs him the win. Uno moves outside and gets in as Sanada charges, landing a spin kick. Uno with a kick in the corner and he springboards into a dropkick from Sanada. Sanada up top, but he gets crotched and falls down. Split-legged moonsault from Uno lands on the knees of Sanada. Bridging tiger suplex connects for Sanada.

Winner by pinfall: Sanada (leads the series 1-0)

Magnus again asked about Abyss. Magnus promises to show us a side of Abyss we've never seen before.

Brittany joins TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne in her locker room. Brittany admits how much she admires Rayne and offers her services as a tag team partner. Rayne doesn't want Brittany to get tied up with The Beautiful People. Brittany wants the opportunity to make her presence felt and Rayne agrees to let her tag with her tonight.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus makes his way out. Magnus informs the crowd that their champion is speaking and he immediately invites Abyss to the ring.

Abyss appears in a suit. Magnus remarks how great Abyss looks. Magnus declares him a winner by association. However, he called Abyss out here to discuss strategy for their four corners match tonight. Magnus says Abyss will not be fighting for the belt because they are friends and he treats him like a human, citing the treatment he received from Eric Young and James Mitchell. Magnus says he doesn't express emotion well, but tells Abyss that he loves him before hugging him.

Eric Young comes from behind as Abyss trails Magnus up the ramp. Young getting the better of Abyss before Magnus jumps in and the numbers game overwhelms him. Samoa Joe makes his way out to make the save and clear the ring. Young tells Joe to stay out of his business in the future and heads backstage.

MVP discussing a TNA Tag Team Championship rematch for The Wolves. Robbie E comes in with a doctor, who delivers a note that Jessie Godderz hurt himself while working out in the gym. MVP says there's nothing he can do about tonight.

Video shows Knux meeting with his dad and discussing the family business.

Match Four: The Beautiful People vs. Madison Rayne & Brittany

Angelina Love starts with Brittany. Love getting the upper hand in the striking, but Brittany with a kick on a bodydrop attempt. Forearms from Brittany lead to a shoulder block and a pair of arm drags. Body slam puts Love down.

Velvet Sky in and she is dropped with a drop toehold. Front facelock from Brittany keeping Sky grounded until she gets a jawbreaker. Brittany sent into the corner, but she sends Sky away with a back elbow. Love yanks her down by her hair and Madison Rayne has to be tied up by the referee. Double elbow drop from the two gets Love into the match with a nearfall.

The head of Brittany bounced off the canvas by Love. Love taunting Rayne and the referee again ties her up as Brittany is worked in the corner. Sky returns and continues to keep Brittany isolated. Referee distracted and more illegal offense from The Beautiful People gets a nearfall.

Brittany finally turns the tide with a Russian legsweep.. Rayne and Love in and Rayne connecting with clothesline after clothesline. Enzuigiri and a kick to the head get Rayne a nearfall. Brittany tags herself in and dropkicks Love. Sky jumps in and stomps Rayne down. The Makeover connects on Brittany.

Exhibition Match Five: Kenny King vs. MVP

Handshake starts the two off. Lockup and MVP gets the arm wrench. Kenny King tries to roll out, but MVP rolls with him. King turning and flipping out of the hold. Reset sees King get a wristlock. MVP with some counters to get the arm wrench and MVP relinquishes the hold. Hammerlock from MVP is countered into a Japanese arm drag for King. King running the ropes and MVP drops down for an STF.

Both men back to their feet after King demands MVP release the hold. Side headlock takeover prompts some taunting from King. MVP with a side headlock takeover of his own that is countered by a legscissors choke from King. MVP spins out into a front facelock. MVP releases the hold as King is in the corner and King headbutts MVP.

Back to the center and MVP with a pair of waistlock takedowns. King hits MVP with an elbow to get out and the match has turned into an all-out brawl. Both men rolling for position and to land some punches.

No Contest

Officials have to come separate both men. Kenny King with a blindside shot to MVP after the referees get control of the situation and he scurries up the ramp.

Magnus meets Ethan Carter III backstage. EC3 is reluctant to talk to Magnus, considering he terminated their business relationship. Magnus asks EC3 to have his back tonight and EC3 asks why since Magnus never returned the favor to him. Magnus rambles excuses and EC3 says Magnus has Abyss. EC3 knows Magnus is afraid Abyss could turn on him and says who can say if he has his back tonight.

Kenny King interviewed backstage. King said it was a light-hearted exhibition and MVP comes up and the two begin brawling once again before The Wolves separate the two.

Four Corners Match Six for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Magnus (c) vs. Abyss vs. Eric Young vs. Samoa Joe

Magnus goes after Samoa Joe and Abyss goes to Eric Young to start. Corner work controlling Joe and Young for the business partners. Joe with an atomic drop and a boot before landing the back splash and moving outside. Joe and Magnus fight outside as Abyss and Young trade inside. Dropkick from Young puts Abyss outside and Young with a suicide dive to take everyone out. Crossbody from the top inside on Magnus gets Young a nearfall.

Right hands in the corner from Young connecting. Abyss charges, but Young sidesteps and Magnus crushed in the corner. Joe and Young now face-to-face in the middle of the ring and they are put down by Magnus and Abyss as we break.

We return with Samoa Joe being thrown outside by Magnus. Eric Young down and Magnus and Abyss go to work on him with stomps. Magnus rolls outside to stomp Joe down and sends Abyss outside to work on Joe. Young being choked on the second rope by Magnus as Abyss works on Samoa Joe. Magnus with a nearfall off the clothesline.

Joe fighting back with forearms outside, but he is dropped with a knee to the groin. Young with right hands to fight back. Magnus comes back with a high knee and a few stomps for a series of nearfalls. Abyss drops Joe by running him into the post and works on fishhooking the nose of Joe. Young dropped with a back elbow and a gutwrench bomb gets another nearfall for Magnus.

With Joe dropped outside, Abyss comes into the ring and lurks over Young. Clubbing blow to the back drops Young and Magnus stomps the hand of Joe. Young being double-teamed by the pair and Magnus sets Young up top. Abyss wants in on it, but Magnus sends him back. Young uses this to land a dual dropkick and Young now on fire with right hands. Magnus sends Young out with a whip into the corner.

Samoa Joe in and he lands on both Magnus and Abyss. Abyss splashes Magnus in the corner and Joe with a back splash in the corner before landing the enzuigiri in the corner. Magnus rakes the eyes, but he runs right into a powerslam from Joe that only gets a nearfall after Young breaks it up.

Joe with a powerslam on Young that is broken up by Abyss. Abyss off the ropes after some clubbing blows and Joe gets a powerslam on him as well. Chop to the chest of Magnus connects. Magnus tries a clothesline, but Joe ducks behind to lock in the Coquina Clutch. Magnus grabs the referee to land a low blow and sends Joe into Abyss to land the Black Hole Slam.

Young and Abyss in the ring and Magnus tosses Joe into the steel steps. Young landing right hands until Abyss snatches the chokeslam. Young bites the hand to get out, but he ends up receiving a Black Hole Slam. Abyss considering the cover, but Magnus tells him not to. Magnus talking to Abyss and Abyss just left standing to watch the elbow drop from the top.

Winner by pinfall and still TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Magnus

The show closes with Abyss looking conflicted as Magnus celebrates and a preview for next week.
