WrestleMania XXX staff predictions: WWE World title match
By SLAM! Wrestling Staff

Randy Orton puts his WWE World title(s) on the line on Sunday at WrestleMania XXX. But against whom? Photos by Ricky Havlik, RickyHavlik.com

It's not very often that we don't know who will be in the main event of a WrestleMania. This year, the addition of either Triple H or Daniel Bryan to the WWE World title bout between the champion Randy Orton and challenger Batista is a real wildcard. Will Triple H keep Bryan from his destiny? Will Orton sneak away with the title? Will Batista take the belt on a media tour to promote Guardians of the Galaxy? Or will it end with the crowd chanting "Yes! Yes! Yes!" Here are our thoughts...

MATTHEW ASHER: With ‘Mania X and XX both ending on very high notes for fan-favorite wrestlers (Bret Hart and Chris Benoit, respectively), Daniel Bryan SHOULD beat the COO via submission and then force Orton to tap out as well in the Triple Threat main event. The post-match celebration would be great, and much like Hart and Stone Cold winning at ‘Mania, it would be great vindication for him after everything that’s happened to him since SummerSlam. Given Hunter’s infamous history of wrestling politics (along with marrying Stephanie), I wouldn’t be surprised if he bullies his way into the main event even with Bryan winning, making it a Fatal Four-Way match. That might actually be better for Bryan, because a win in that scenario would mean he truly is the “Future” of the company having bested Evolution.

MATTHEW BYER: The Triple H versus Daniel Bryan match is one that is easy to predict since there's little doubt that Bryan is going to win as WWE Management do not want to risk a WWE World Title bout of Orton versus Batista versus Triple H being booed out of the building. So that means we're going to see a pretty nasty beating by Triple H during and after the match once Bryan has managed to get the out of nowhere win. That'll lead naturally into a WWE World Title match where Bryan will be the injured underdog babyface as Orton and Batista alternatively spend time punishing him and than focusing on each either. From there Bryan should somehow come up with a miraculous turnaround and win, but WWE Management may through a bit of a curve ball and let Batista pick up the victory and have Bryan chase him throughout the summer. Nevertheless I'll go with Bryan for the win.

Daniel Bryan may not be bigger than his opponents, but we can make his photo bigger!
NOLAN HOWELL: They certainly have made fools out of us before, but on the biggest stage of them all, it's time to give the guy who gets the biggest positive reaction in the business today the chance to run with the ball. Winner: Daniel Bryan. ... which leads to Orton vs. Batista vs. Bryan: This match will hopefully hold a phenomenal moment at the end. Orton and Batista will look strong and will succumb to the rally of the underdog, perhaps securing one of the most electric crowd responses in professional wrestling history. Winner: Daniel Bryan.

BOB KAPUR: If Mania doesn't end with the image of 70,000 fans all chanting "Yes! Yes! Yes!", then WWE will have failed. That's the only logical conclusion to the year of Daniel Bryan. I think that Bryan beats HHH and goes into the main event. During the three-way, HHH comes out to the ring to screw Bryan just when he's got the best of Batista and Orton. All of a sudden, CM Punk returns to the company, to take out HHH, allowing Bryan to get the win. Just like the ending of WM20, Punk and Bryan celebrate the underdog's victory and the crowd goes nuts.

MATT MACKINDER: The Bryan-HHH match could be a classic or could be a gong show. Still can’t get used to HHH with the buzz cut. If WWE does it right, Bryan wins and goes on to the main event where he’ll get screwed yet again. In the main event, Randy Orton will retain against Bryan and Batista, who is past his prime. Get him and his skinny jeans out of here already.

Note to Triple H -- don't wear the suit for your match with Daniel Bryan.
DALE PLUMMER: Obviously, Daniel Bryan is winning against Triple H, but he may not get to the title match in one piece. Am I crazy to think that even if Triple H loses he puts himself in the main event anyway. The last few years WWE has sent the fans home happy from Wrestlemania and the only way to do that is to have Bryan win the title. Daniel Bryan holding the belt in the middle of the ring as 80,000 plus people chant "YES! YES ! YES!" is a Wrestlemania moment that will live forever. Although, part of me wants to see Batista win so I could say I was there when the Superdome was burned to ground.

CALEB SMITH: Bryan beats Triple H and Batista wins world title. I find it difficult to believe that Triple H would lose to Daniel Bryan. In my heart I believe that a Bryan win is good for business. If the stars align then Bryan should win. Saying that does not mean he will win the championship. I believe that even if Bryan is in the title match it will be Batista who will wear the belt at the conclusion of the show. The fans will riot! Or they will stay in their seats and boo.

Will it be Batista or Drax the Destroyer who shows up at Mania?
JON WALDMAN: I've heard so many theories about this match and really, each of them are feasible; so here's how I'm going to play it. First off, Trips attempts to get a cheap win with Kane coming in and attacking him, thus disqualifying Bryan. Then, Vince McMahon returns and says that DQ finishes aren't best for business and restarts the match with a no DQ stip. This is when CM Punk does make his return and causes Bryan to beat The Game (not by physical interference but merely by appearing on stage to cause the distraction). Triple H says he'll deal with Punk later and inserts himself into the WWE Championship match in any case. Now this is where the biggest discrepancy happens. We know that Batista isn't walking out champ, nor Triple H, but there's the possibility Orton does. Not if it's the last match though. I'm gambling at high odds that Bryan wins.
