WrestleMania XXX staff predictions: Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar
By SLAM! Wrestling Staff

Is the Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar match as one-sided as many seem to believe. Does Lesnar, a former UFC World champion, actually not stand a chance against a Dead Man? Or is he the man to end The Streak? Find out what our writers think!

MATTHEW ASHER: This one should be a no-brainer. With both men being part-timers, having Lesnar break The Streak would be meaningless. The WWE also hasn't done a great job setting this match up. Yes, Brock Lesnar is "the Beast Incarnate" but there's no real motivation for him. Triple H tried three times to do what his best friend HBK couldn't do. Since Hunter owns a ‘Mania win over Brock from last year, it wouldn't make sense for Brock to do the unthinkable. In order for someone to have a chance at ending The Streak, it needs to be a full-time wrestler who will turn that win into their crowning achievement.

MATTHEW BYER: Who here thinks it would have been better to have The Undertaker vs John Cena as there would have at least been at least some belief that John Cena might win? This match is either going to be one of the best on the card or a disaster and there's really no way to predict which it'll be. A lot of that is due to The Undertaker not having wrestled in a year and how he'll take the rougher in-ring style of Brock Lesnar. As for a winner there's no doubt that The Undertaker is taking the win as I can't see WWE Management having the streak ended by a part-timer.

NOLAN HOWELL: Every year, the WWE plays puppet master and gets you believing "The Streak" is done. This year, I'm not buying it. While this will be a spectacle to behold, Brock Lesnar is not the future of the company that Undertaker would surrender himself to. Winner: The Undertaker.

BOB KAPUR: Though I'm looking forward to this match, I actually think they could have built this one up a bit better - maybe by having Heyman call out Brock's MMA past - something to the effect of, "Brock's a fighter, you're an entertainer", something to suggest that Brock isn't like anyone else that Taker has faced during the Streak. Taker takes a beating, but wins.

MATT MACKINDER: This is a toughy -- for the 30th Mania, do we celebrate The Streak or do we celebrate ‘Taker's career and he calls it quits the next night on Raw? Lesnar is nothing more than a part-timer out for the money, so to have him go over a legend is asinine, in my opinion. If Brock wins, expect a riot, but 'Taker wins, so expect a standing 'O.'

DALE PLUMMER: The Undertaker is not losing this match to a guy that is a part-timer and a mercenary at that. As for the match itself, it was good to see that Taker can take a bump after eating an F5 on Monday. This match will be stiff, brutal, and probaly bloody, but don't expect Lesnar to get the win. The streak will be broken some day, just not this day.

CALEB SMITH: Taker can't lose. While he is getting older he has two things to fight for, his streak and the memory of his long time manager Paul Bearer! Brock can't beat the power of the Undertaker! Without his old manager around, who is going to stop the ever lurking Paul Heyman?

JON WALDMAN: It's sad how bad the build has been for this. Brock has looked weak and scared and already emotionally defeated. Lesnar should've been a cold monster and destroyed all the druids a couple weeks ago or done something to make himself look stronger. Along with that, why didn't he put the Kimura Lock on 'Taker on Monday and 'break his arm', thus making it harder/damn near impossible for 'Taker to lift Brock for the Tombstone? This is going to be an all-out brawl with some good MMA stuff mixed in, but the match build has left me with little to no desire to actually watch the bout. I'll probably take this one as a break since the outcome is inevitable. Taker wins.

THE FANS: In an online poll here at SLAM! Wrestling, 88% believe The Undertaker will win, leaving 12% thinking that Brock Lesnar will end the Streak.
