Impact: Gunner and Storm battle unlocked

Things had appeared to be finished after Gunner defeated "Cowboy" James Storm at Lockdown a few short weeks ago. However, after last week, it became clear that the rivalry had just overheated as Storm assaulted Gunner's father before his very eyes. Tonight on TNA Impact, Gunner and Storm are unlocked as they go at it once again with no rules. Plus, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus and business partner Abyss hit a fork in the road. All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

Recap of all the latest events in TNA.

We are on tape from Orlando, Fla. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

TNA Director of Wrestling Operations MVP makes his way to the ring. MVP tells Abyss that he wanted to make the field level when he came here and base rewards on talent. After consulting the board, MVP wants to make an executive decision.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus and Abyss make their way down the ramp. Magnus reminds MVP that Abyss is only contracted to work under him, not TNA. Magnus says all authority runs through him and Abyss can only be in the ring at the same time as him. MVP is on board with the idea and, after encountering the strength of Abyss, he doesn't want to fire him. However, he warns him to not test him again after last week. Despite this, MVP asks if Abyss wants more opportunities and offers him a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Magnus protests, but MVP confirms the match and adds Samoa Joe to the match next week.

Samoa Joe hits the ring. Joe comes down and reminds MVP that all he has asked for is an uninterrupted shot at Magnus. Joe declares that next week sounds more like a handicap match, but MVP questions the ability of Magnus to control Abyss with the belt on the line. Samoa Joe says MVP will have a problem controlling him before Magnus interrupts. Joe knocks him down and Abyss comes in to knock Joe down. MVP goes after Abyss and Eric Young soon joins in the brawl as we break.

Eric Young, Samoa Joe, and MVP standing in the ring as we return. Eric Young offers a solution to MVP. Young brought Abyss back and he needs to be the one to control him. Young wants a shot in the match next week so he can take care of Abyss and Joe can go after Magnus. MVP doesn't believe Young has earned the shot. Young details his ten years in the company and all the credentials he has accumulated. Joe steps in and says no one doubts the work Young has put in, but he can't jump in line until he gets what he deserves. MVP believes Young validated his case and gives him a spot in the match.

Young and Joe face-to-face. Joe shoves Young, who hits a double-leg takedown. The two brawling and trading ground and pound. MVP calls for referees to break this up. Joe challenges Young for a match later tonight and MVP grants the two a match.

Bully Ray sends warning to Bobby Roode about the amount of tables in his future tonight.

The Wolves meet up with MVP backstage. The Wolves ask MVP for a match with Abyss and Magnus tonight. MVP approves of the idea.

Ethan Carter III and Rockstar Spud are on the hunt for Willow in the woods. Spud wearing camouflage and crawling as Carter tells him to get up as they aren't even close. Carter wearing casual clothes and remarks how he hates nature.

Carter and Spud continuing the hunt for Willow. Spud asks what they are really here for. Carter is ready to attack for vengeance and to reciprocate what Willow has done to them. Spud calls it a suicide mission, but Carter continues on.

Match One: The Wolves vs. Magnus & Abyss

Lockup sees Magnus grab the armlock on Davey Richards. Richards spinning and working his way out to get the back, only to receive a back elbow from the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Richards stomped down in the corner and dropped by a right hand. Uppercuts from Magnus drop Richards. Richards fighting back with body shots and flips out of a backdrop suplex to tag in Eddie Edwards. Drop toehold and dropkick combo gets Edwards a nearfall.

Edwards sends Magnus into a headbutt from Richards before bringing him back in. Richards does the same with Edwards and a double team is stopped by a double clothesline from Abyss. Abyss standing over The Wolves and going to work as we break.

We return with Magnus tagging in to stomp Eddie Edwards down. Edwards punching back and tries a crossbody, but Magnus with a driver suplex for a brief nearfall. Knee into the back and a chinlock applied by Magnus. Edwards fights to his feet and gets out with body shots, but is dropped by a back elbow. Sent off into the corner, Edwards with a mule kick to keep a charging Magnus away. Hurricanrana sends Magnus across the ring.

Tag made to Davey Richards and he takes out Abyss with a running kick. Clothesline and a back elbow drop Magnus. Springboard dropkick lands on Magnus and corners him. Abyss charges in and Richards ducks to send him crashing into his business partner. Both men come out of the corner and walk into a missile dropkick from Richards. Roundhouse kicks to the chest of Magnus connect.

Edwards in as Richards runs the ropes. Back of Magnus taken by Richards and Edwards with an enzuigiri and Richards with the German Suplex. Jackknife cover from Edwards broken by Abyss. Richards and Edwards soon start the double team on Abyss. Chokeslam on both Wolves unsuccessful as both flip out and dropkick the knees of Abyss. Double head kicks land and Richards with a suicide dive outside on Abyss. Magnus tries a rollup, but Edwards locks in a single-leg crab.

Winners by submission: The Wolves

Post-match, Abyss gawks at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship belt and carries it up the ramp with him after Magnus asks for it. Magnus confused with his business partner as they head towards the back.

Angelina Love makes her way to the ring. Love says Velvet Sky hasn't been answering her calls all week and invites her out to explain her problem.

Velvet Sky soon comes out. Sky calls out Love for attacking TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne. Sky asks what Love's problem is. Love claims to have done it for Sky, but Sky didn't sign up for this. Love calls Sky mediocre and bland without her and The Beautiful People. Love claims Sky lost her edge. Sky tells Love that a lot has changed, but Love claims Sky is the only one who has changed. Love gives Sky an ultimatum to pick between herself or Rayne when all is said and done tonight.

The hunt for Willow continues between Rockstar Spud and EC3. Spud gimping and complaining as EC3 continues the march through the woods.

Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III come across a barn. Both men argue about going in and Ethan Carter III goes in. EC3 screams and plays a prank on Spud. Standing in the doorway, Spud asks EC3 to check the barn out before he is abducted by Willow. EC3 looking for Spud as Willow is heard laughing in the distance.

Bully Ray makes his way out. Bully Ray invites out fans who surround and fill both the ring and ringside with tables. Bully asks the crowd if they have enough tables. Bully asks if they know who he is before introducing himself that got Dixie Carter kicked out of TNA. Bully tells Bobby Roode that he would have ended up just like her had he won at Lockdown. Bully wants to end the talk and counts off the number of tables he wants to put Roode through.

Bobby Roode hits the entrance way. Roode asks Bully if he thinks he's intimidated. Roode claims the guy that was put through a table at Lockdown doesn't exist anymore. Roode reminds Bully he is the longest reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion and how he tricked Bully last week. Roode then asks the crowd if they know who he is. Bully tells Roode to quit the talk and come fight. Roode won't take orders from Bully and declares that he will determine when and where. Bully tells Roode that the crowd wants it now and Roode appears ready to go before declaring that it isn't happening.

Bully Ray chases Bobby Roode up the ramp and knocks him down with a shot from behind. Brawling down the ramp, Bully with a huge chop against the barricade. Roode left on a table and Bully looks for an elbow drop, but Roode rolls off the table. Another chop from Bully connects and Roode laid against a table. Chop misses and Bully cracks his hand against the table. Roode working on the right hand and attempts to suplex Bully through a table. Bully blocks, but is sent into the ring post on his shoulder. Roode brawling Bully down on the apron, but Bully sets Roode up for a powerbomb.

Action spills inside the ring as Roode bodydrops Bully into the ring to counter the powerbomb. Roode stalking Bully and heads up top. Flipping neckbreaker misses and Bully opening up with a combo that is compounded by a bionic elbow. Big boot from Bully misses and splits the table. Roode now going to work on the legs of Bully. Roode Bomb is wiggled out of by Bully, who attempts a powerbomb. Roode up, but he punches out. Table in the corner and Bully charges, only to be sidestepped by Roode as he goes through the table.

Abyss joins Magnus in his locker room. Magnus wants his title back and Abyss hands it over. Abyss is upset at Magnus tapping early to the submission hold in their match earlier. Magnus made clear that he won't take unnecessary punishment in non-title matches, even if Abyss doesn't like losing. Magnus asks Abyss if he understands their deal when it comes to next week and reminds Abyss not to fall for the mind games of MVP.

Video package shows Knux surveying the damage physically and emotionally of a flood on his family's business.

Match Two: Madison Rayne vs. Angelina Love

Madison Rayne immediately on the offensive with a clothesline and she stomps Angelina Love down in the corner. Love moves outside and Rayne takes chase. Rayne baits Love into an elbow drop into the mat as she fakes rolling into the ring. Rayne running Love around from corner-to-corner with corner work.

Velvet Sky heads to ringside. Rayne dives at Love, but falls to the outside. Sky tapping her to try and get her up as Love comes and brings her back inside. Rayne attempts a rollup and gets a nearfall. Crucifix pin attempt does the same for Rayne.

Love with a kick to the midsection and taking the brawl to Rayne. Jawbreaker from Love connects and she sends Rayne out to the floor. Sky talking to Rayne again and Love again goes outside to get Rayne while the two share words. Love with a brief nearfall inside. Second rope being used to choke Rayne now and fishhooking the nose from Love. Love toying with Rayne and lands a forearm. Off the ropes, Rayne ducks and both land on a facebuster. Both up now and Rayne in control of the striking. Clotheslines and a back elbow connect. Northern Lights Suplex nearly retains the belt for Rayne.

Love dropkicked to the floor by Rayne. Sky talking to Love and Rayne uses this to land a slide kick to the outside. The referee gets Love inside the ring and Sky with a kick to the midsection. DDT on the floor sends Rayne inside and Love makes the cover.

Winner by pinfall: Angelina Love

ODB asks her husband Eric Young if he's ready for tonight. Young is ready to prove everyone who is doubting him wrong and to prove that he is not afraid of any challenge.

"The King of the Night" Kenny King joins MVP in his office. King wants to know what MVP has for him tonight. MVP promises to have a shot for him on next week's show.

Match Three: Samoa Joe vs. Eric Young

The two start face-to-face. Samoa Joe with a shove and Eric Young firing back with punches. Young sent outside, but he runs back in to dropkick Joe into the corner. Corner work from Young working Joe, but a knee to the midsection stops the offense of Young. Off the ropes, Joe runs into a right hand from Young and a running forearm gets Young the first nearfall of the contest.

Young stomps Joe down and continues to work him in the corner. Young sent into the corner and he flips over. Shoulder ram from the apron is caught by a Joe knee. Young showing some fight, but he runs into an elbow from Joe. Young cornered and Joe with a chop. Back splash in the corner followed by an enzuigiri for a nearfall.

Young fighting back from his knees and Joe with a headbutt. Snapmare and a chop to the back followed by a kick and a knee drop that nearly puts Young down for the count. Float over in the corner from Young allows him to run the ropes and both connect on clotheslines in the center of the ring. Young with right hands as both men return to their feet. Discus clothesline and a dropkick compounded by a body slam. Young up top, but he is forced to jump over Joe and runs into an STJoe in the corner that almost gets the win.

Young sent into the corner. He gets his boot up and Joe runs into it. Moonsault attempt from Young misses and Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch. Young twisting and turning to prevent the choke from being in at full capacity. Young tries to use the corner to jump out with, but Joe falls back and the referee forced to check the arm of Young, which drops three times.

Winner by submission: Samoa Joe

Earl Hebner comes down to consult with Brian Hebner about the finish, noting that the shoulders of Samoa Joe were still on the mat. The two walk off discussing the ending.

Ethan Carter III shown walking into a cabin in the woods in search for Rockstar Spud and Willow.

Footage last week shows Samuel Shaw getting suspended for going into the dressing room of Christy Hemme. Hemme demands Shaw leave her alone and get out of the room. Shaw clips a piece of her hair after getting slapped in the face and this will lead to a straightjacket match between Shaw and Mr. Anderson.

No Disqualification Match Four: "Cowboy" James Storm vs. Gunner

James Storm meets Gunner halfway up the ramp and Gunner taking the brawl to storm. Table set up at the end of the entrance at ringside and Storm takes control by bouncing the head of Gunner of the ring steps. Gunner slamming the head of Storm off the apron and slides a chair inside as the brawl continues outside. Storm suplexed onto the floor before he regains control by smashing a cup of beer in the face of Gunner.

Gunner rolled inside and Storm lands a running knee to the head before being brought back outside. Suplex on the ramp lands for Storm. Gunner stops Storm from bouncing him off the steps and is able to ram the head of Storm into the steps.

Action moves inside and Storm kicks Gunner away. Up top, Storm jumps off to land a DDT. Gunner laid out on the mat as we break.

Corner clothesline connects for Gunner as we return. Slingshot suplex converts for a nearfall for Gunner. Chair propped in the corner and Storm fights Gunner off, only to eat a trashcan lid. The two each with a lid and going at it. Gunner now landing the bigger blows, but he runs off the ropes to run into a swing from Storm. Spear from Gunner as Storm charges gets a nearfall.

Storm cornered and he rakes the eyes of Gunner. Back elbow from Gunner keeps Storm away. Sunset flip is rolled through by Storm, who catapults Gunner into the steel chair in the corner. Closing Time connects and a flying elbow drop from the top nearly gets Storm the win.

Storm brings a beer bottle and some chairs in. Storm collecting more weapons and he steps to the apron, only to be speared by Gunner and both fall through the table outside. Both struggle up to their feet and Gunner rolls Storm inside for a close nearfall. Gunner with two chairs set up face-to-face and puts Storm up top. Superplex through the two chairs doesn't pin Storm this time around.

Closing Time from Storm connects as Gunner has his move wiggled out of. Two Last Call Superkicks land for Storm, but they are unable to put Gunner down. Storm goes for another beer bottle as Gunner crawls towards the one in the ring and hides it away. Beer bottle connects and Hanger 18 puts Storm down.

Winner by pinfall: Gunner

Ethan Carter III calls for Jeff Hardy, then calling him Willow because that's the figment of his imagination he wants to be. Rockstar Spud is found gagged and tied up. EC3 calls for Willow and he echoes that he is here before popping up behind EC3. Willow beats him down with his umbrella and leaves. Ethan Carter III declares that it is "game on" as the show closes.
