Main Event: Big E keeps IC strap against Ziggler

Big E's immense power has kept him on a steady rise within the WWE. Since grabbing a hold of the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Big E has shown no signs of letting go. Tonight on WWE Main Event, the belt is up for grabs against the "Show-Off" Dolph Ziggler. Who will walk away with gold around their waist? All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!

We are LIVE from Boston, Mass. Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton have the call for this week.

The announce team breaks the news that Christian will be bumped out of his match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship due to a concussion and a triple threat match will determine who gets a shot at Big E.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E makes his way out to observe the match.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Contender's Triple Threat Match: Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler

Sheamus immediately goes after Alberto Del Rio in the corner. Dolph Ziggler moves Sheamus out of the way to get a few licks in and the two eventually end up trading. Back elbow drops Ziggler and Del Rio now seizing the opportunity to attack Sheamus. Ziggler sent out and Del Rio runs into a clothesline from Sheamus. Knee drops get Sheamus a brief nearfall on Del Rio. Corner work from Sheamus sees him send Del Rio into the corner, but he runs into a back elbow. Counter with a rolling senton slam from Sheamus gets a nearfall.

Ziggler enters as Del Rio moves outside. Lockup sees Sheamus push Ziggler away. Side headlock in for Sheamus and he connects with a shoulder block. Reset sees Ziggler take the back, but Sheamus elbows out into another side headlock and another shoulder block. Leapfrogging and ducking from Ziggler gets him a dropkick for a nearfall. Offense from Ziggler stopped by a Sheamus clothesline. Del Rio sent off the apron by Sheamus and Ziggler from behind with a rollup that nearly gets the win.

Slam converts for Sheamus and an elbow drop gets a nearfall. Armlock in for Sheamus and Ziggler punching the body to get out. Famouser attempt by Ziggler gets him sent to the apron, where Sheamus attempts to club the chest. Del Rio with an enzuigiri to the back of the head that knocks Sheamus out and sends Ziggler to the floor. Ziggler bounces off the barricade by Del Rio as we break.

We return with Del Rio wrenching the sleeper on Ziggler. Body blows break the hold, but Ziggler runs right into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker that gives Del Rio a pin attempt. Sheamus tries to enter the ring, but Del Rio kicks him back to the floor. Up top, Del Rio drops down into a dropkick from Ziggler. Both men get to their feet and Ziggler with a clothesline and mounted punches in the corner. Neckbreaker nearly gets the pin on Del Rio.

Side kick to the midsection connects for Del Rio. Ziggler sidesteps Del Rio and he catches himself on the apron. Sheamus drags Ziggler out and starts clubbing the chest of Del Rio. Moving back inside, Ziggler hit with sledgehammer smashes from Sheamus. Well-timed knee in the corner by Ziggler sends Sheamus away, but he runs into the Irish Curse backbreaker. Del Rio on the wrong end of one himself that nearly gets Sheamus the title shot.

Brogue Kick being looked for, but Ziggler comes out with a dropkick that knocks Sheamus down. Del Rio stomps the head of Ziggler and tries to work Sheamus in the corner, but he is sent away. Sheamus skins the cat up top, but Del Rio gets to Ziggler with a German Suplex that nearly steals the win. Turning around, Del Rio is hit by a battering ram from the top that gives Sheamus a close nearfall.

Punches landing in bunches in the corner by Sheamus, but Del Rio turns the tide with a kick to the midsection. Counters from Sheamus send Del Rio out and Ziggler sneaks a DDT from behind that nearly gives him the match. Ziggler trying a sunset flip, but Sheamus rolls through to lock in the Cloverleaf. Del Rio comes in with a side kick to the head to get a pin. Famouser from Ziggler on Del Rio nearly ends it all. Zig Zag attempt is shook off by Del Rio and Ziggler runs into a Brogue Kick that sends him outside. Rollup nearfall from Del Rio soon countered into a White Noise that gives Sheamus a nearfall.

Cloverleaf from Sheamus countered into an arm breaker from Del Rio. Cross Armbreaker in. Sheamus deadlifts Del Rio up and whiffs on a Brogue Kick that ties him up on the top rope. From behind, Del Rio going for a backstabber and Ziggler comes right in with a Zig Zag.

Winner by pinfall: Dolph Ziggler

Renee Young joins Dolph Ziggler and WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E. Ziggler is ready for WrestleMania and plans to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal as WWE Intercontinental Champion. Ziggler taught Big E a lot, but he plans to win tonight. Big E plans to walk out with the belt tonight, but wishes Ziggler good luck as they shake hands.

Raw Rebound shows the confrontation between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, Batista, and WWE Principal Owner Stephanie McMahon.

WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee joins the commentary team.

Match Two: Natalya, Eva Marie, The Funkadactyls, & Emma vs. Summer Rae, Layla, Alicia Fox, Aksana, & Tamina Snuka

Layla starts with Natalya. Layla with some mind games that are countered with Natalya clotheslines. Layla turtles up and Natalya with some mind games of her own before landing a suplex for a quick nearfall. Emma in and connecting with kicks. Both ladies exchanging some dance moves. Layla whiffs on a clothesline that allows Emma to score a nearfall off a rollup.

Kick sees Layla send Emma into the corner and miss on a corner splash. DilEmma locked in across the ropes and Emma pummeling Layla down to the mat after she is forced to break the hold. Alicia Fox in and Eva Marie soon follows to land a rollup for a nearfall. Side headlock from Eva Marie drags Fox down to the mat. Fox fights up and puts Eva Marie into the corner to land shoulders. Elbows from Eva Marie connect and a brawl ensues between all Divas. Fox back to work on Eva Marie and she bridges off a Northern Lights Suplex for a nearfall.

Summer Rae tags in. Working Eva Marie down with stomps and kicks, front facelock applied and Fox brought back in. Snapmare into the rear chinlock by Fox. Eva Marie fighting back, but she is yanked to the mat with a handful of hair. Leg drop from Fox misses and both ladies down.

Tags made to Naomi and Tamina Snuka. Hurricanrana from Naomi. Kick and a forearm from the apron connect for Naomi. Snuka looking for the power offense, but Naomi is able to wiggle out and hits some offense out of the corner for a nearfall. Another brawl ensues between the Divas. Emma and Eva Marie focused on dancing and they are taken out by Snuka. Naomi soon follows up and trading with Snuka, but she gets caught by a Superkick from Snuka.

Winners by pinfall: Summer Rae, Layla, Alicia Fox, Aksana, & Tamina Snuka

Post-match, AJ Lee hits the ring to celebrate with Tamina Snuka. Hug from Lee confuses Snuka and the WWE Divas Champion skips away after taking away a bit of the limelight from bodyguard.

Announce team shares that WrestleMania will feature a four-team contest for the WWE Tag Team Championships, featuring The Real Americans, Los Matadores, and Curtis Axel and Ryback challenging the WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos.

Video package recaps the feud between The Wyatt Family and John Cena.

Bad News Barrett rises upon his podium. Having some bad news, Barrett declares that John Cena is afraid of the Wyatt Family and informs the fans to all wear sheep masks in a shot at their looks.

Match Three for the WWE Intercontinental Championship: Big E (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Lockup sees Big E toss Dolph Ziggler to the mat. Lockup again sees a repeat of the same process and Big E adds a clothesline to the mix. Ziggler back up and gets the back. Big E fights out with a throw and gets a side headlock. Side headlock takeover from Big E. Shoulder block from Big E connects. Dropkick connects in return for Ziggler and Big E forced to seek refuge in between the ropes. Ziggler again gets the back, but Big E brawls and hits a clothesline that sends Ziggler outside as we break.

We return with Big E missing a corner splash on Ziggler. Ziggler goes on the offensive with a crossbody and now following up with punches. Mounted punches out of the corner for Ziggler connect and a neckbreaker lands that gets Ziggler a nearfall.

Clotheslines connecting for Big E. Ziggler tries for one of his own, but Big E grabs the tie and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Big E missing Ziggler on a splash and Ziggler taking advantage of the opportunity with a dropkick. Big E cornered, but he hits a uranage throw as Ziggler charges in and nearly gets the pin. Ziggler comes back with a DDT for a nearfall of his own.

Sleeper attempt for Ziggler is shucked off by Big E. Clothesline puts Ziggler down for a nearfall. Big Ending attempt is slipped out by Ziggler and he connects on the Famouser. Famouser nearly gets Ziggler the win. Ziggler pressed high into the air from Big E and he sets up the Big Ending. Big Ending connects and plants Ziggler into the mat.

Winner by pinfall and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Big E

The show closes with the two competitors embracing and WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E having his hand raised in victory by Dolph Ziggler.
