NXT: Zayn returns to battle a disgruntled Graves

Fresh off yet another wrestling classic with rival Cesaro at NXT ArRival, Sami Zayn is again flying high despite a loss. Tonight on WWE NXT, Corey Graves wants to take some of the shine Zayn has by defeating him. Is Zayn ready to step back in the ring? Plus, Adam Rose makes his debut and new NXT Champion Adrian Neville is in action! All that and more on this week's edition of WWE NXT!

Recap of last week's NXT ArRival event.

We are on tape from Orlando, Fla. Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, and William Regal have the call for this week.

Match One: Adrian Neville vs. Camacho

Camacho refuses the handshake of the new NXT Champion and kicks Adrian Neville right in the midsection. Neville backflips out of the corner and hits a springboard crossbody. Arm drag into a wristlock and transition to the armbar for Neville. The torque on the arm taking a toll on Camacho, but he gets out with a forearm shot. Chops across the chest working Neville in the corner. Running powerslam plants Neville for a nearfall.


Neville up and fighting back with chops and kicks. Running forearms now are followed by a spinning back kick to the stomach by the champion. Running dropkick converts and Neville heads up top to connect on a missile dropkick. Neville now up top and Red Arrow comes right down on Camacho.

Winner by pinfall: Adrian Neville

Renee Young joins the NXT Champion in the ring and asks him to describe the victory last week. Adrian Neville describes it as indescribable. Neville has traveled the world and wrestled for ten years, but last week was the most amazing night in his entire career. Neville calls the belt validation and a message to everyone that anything is possible. Neville tells the crowd to look at him and lists his shortcomings, but even though those things can raise questions, what he does in the ring is unquestionable. Neville also declares that "no more Bo" is another great thing about last week.

Bo Dallas makes his way out. Dallas says he has thought about the match all week and can only offer congratulations to Neville. Dallas tells Neville that he did something no man could do and that he always taught his "Bolievers" to be good sports. Dallas then declares that Neville didn't pin him and announces that he will cash in his rematch clause soon. Dallas closes by declaring it "Bo time" with a thumbs up.

A Renee Young interview with Emma from last week's NXT ArRival is shown. Emma declares NXT Women's Champion Paige to be the toughest opponent she has ever faced and is surprised to know they are friends after all. However, Emma believes she will be champion in the WWE soon.

Ric Flair interrupts Emma. Flair asks Emma who she is to declare toughness. Thought she fought like a champion, Flair serves notice to both Emma and Paige that his daughter, Charlotte, will be the next NXT Women's Champion. Charlotte comes in and mocks Emma on how devastated she must be and tells her to call on her for anything with tongue firmly in cheek. Charlotte looks at Emma smiling and asks if she is listening, to which Emma does her signature bubble-popping gesture and walks off. The Flairs celebrate over breaking down Emma mentally.

Match Two: Emma vs. Charlotte (w/Sasha Banks)

Lockup sees Charlotte muscle Emma back into the corner and play some mind games. Emma ducks the strike attempt and the corner. Another lockup in the center of the ring and Emma takes the back. Charlotte gets the arm wrench and Emma turns it into a wristlock. Front facelock from Charlotte and the ladies going back and forth on the submission holds. Emma gets Charlotte on the mat with a wristlock.

Charlotte with a knee to the stomach and she goes after a cornered Emma, but she runs into a boot. Rollup from Emma almost gets the win and she sends Charlotte into the corner. Charlotte floats over and tweaks her ankle. Emma pins, but Charlotte is able to kick out. Sasha Banks up on the apron to check on her partner and the referee trying to determine what to do with the match. The referee shoos Banks off the apron and Charlotte from behind with a somersault cutter.

Winner by pinfall: Charlotte

Prior to the match, Corey Graves wants to introduce himself for the benefit of those viewing this on the WWE Network. Graves is upset doing this because he wouldn't have had to if he was on the NXT ArRival special last week. Graves is particularly upset with Sami Zayn, who he claims is only getting spots because of his heart. Graves claims to only need one shot to beat Cesaro, but until now, he wants to get this over with.

Match Three: Yoshi Tatsu vs. Corey Graves

Corey Graves immediately ducks outside after the bell rings. Grabbing the mic, he says "forget this" before walking up the ramp. Graves walks back to ringside and Yoshi Tatsu comes after him, only to get clotheslined and slammed into the steel steps. Graves goes in the ring and asks the referee to start the count. Tatsu struggles up and gets a hand on the bottom rope, but is unable to reach the ring.

Winner by countout: Corey Graves

Post-match, Graves goes after Tatsu with punches and stomps before bringing him back in the ring for Lucky Thirteen. Sami Zayn rushes out to make the save. Zayn gets the mic and claims to have been unaware of the problem between the two. Zayn says all Graves had to do was ask and challenges him tonight, but Graves continues to backtrack up the ramp.

Devin Taylor is shown at the launch party of rocker Adam Rose. Rose is shown cavorting with women on the couch and Taylor remarks how excited everyone is for his in-ring debut. Rose tells Taylor to stop talking and boring him and join the party before enjoying himself with the mass of people dancing.

Match Four: Adam Rose vs. Wesley Blake

Wesley Blake opens up with an arm wrench, but Adam Rose curls into a ball and somersaults his way around the ring. Chop to the chest after some relaxing in the corner from Rose just serves to infuriate Blake, but Rose gets between the ropes. Rose looking to mule kick Blake away. One lands and Rose follows with a shoulder bump for a nearfall.

Rose locking the armbar. Blake muscles him into the corner and Rose shoots out with a spear. Elbows and knees coming in bunches from Rose. Spinebuster converts and Rose turns Blake inside out with a clothesline.

Winner by pinfall: Adam Rose

Match Five: Corey Graves vs. Sami Zayn

Corey Graves with a kick to the midsection and strikes to open up. Corner work from Graves rocking Sami Zayn, but Zayn turns it around briefly. Graves with another kick to the midsection and more corner work. Zayn sent off the ropes and he runs into a back elbow for a Graves nearfall.

Graves again going to work on Zayn in the corner. Strikes from Zayn get him some breathing room, but side headlock now in for Graves. Graves bringing Zayn to his knees with the submission and then getting the side headlock takeover. Fighting to his feet, Zayn gets Graves to run the ropes, but eats a shoulder bump. Leapfrogging and ducking, Zayn finally gets some offense going with arm drags. Graves sent outside with an arm drag and Zayn holds back a flying attack as we break.

Zayn with a back bodydrop as we return. Graves cornered and Zayn charges, but Graves catches him to put him down on a backbreaker across the knee for a quick nearfall. Zayn now cornered, but Graves runs into a back elbow. Mule kick from the top by Zayn is followed by a crossbody that nearly gets Zayn the win.

Zayn charges a cornered Graves and eats a forearm on the ear that knocks off his equilibrium. Graves looks for Lucky Thirteen, but Zayn counters into a Blue Thunder Bomb that again nearly earns him the victory. A running start from Zayn sees Graves chop block the knee. Lucky Thirteen attempt is countered into a small package from Zayn that is kicked out of. Zayn with a huge chop to the chest and he looks for the tornado DDT out of the corner, but Graves again has him for the backbreaker. Small package from Zayn as he comes down.

Winner by pinfall: Sami Zayn

The show closes with a furious Graves in the ring staring down the triumphant Zayn.
