Main Event: Tag belts, Bryan and Kane lead first live show

WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos won the belts just last night against The New Age Outlaws in a hot Chicago crowd. However, their reign could come to an end in just one day. Tonight on WWE Main Event, the new champions are set to defend their belts in a rematch. Can they hang on? Plus, Daniel Bryan continues to battle The Authority by taking on WWE Director of Operations Kane! All this and more on the first live edition of WWE Main Event!

Recap of the confrontation between Daniel Bryan and The Authority from last night's Raw.

We are LIVE from Detroit, Mich. Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton have the call for this week.

Match One: Kane vs. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan goes right after Kane, but gets muscled into the corner. Right hands and stomps blasting Bryan in the corner. Kane working Bryan down on the mat and sends him into the opposite corner. Clothesline connects and Kane stomps the head of Bryan. Knee to the stomach and a dropkick to a dazed Bryan connect to earn Kane the first nearfall of the contest.


Nerve hold from Kane keeping Bryan down. Bryan sent to the apron, but he pulls down the rope and the action moves to the floor. Kick from Bryan allows him to fly from the apron, but Kane catches him and rams him into the ring apron and the barricade. Kane yanking Bryan into the ring post and stretching him at the ribs. Back inside, Kane with a brief nearfall before taking a chinlock. Bryan elbowing the midsection and hits a drop toehold that bounces the head of Kane off the second turnbuckle. Corner work from Bryan working Kane over in the corner. Boot attempt from Kane is ducked under by Bryan and he moves out to wrap the knne of Kane around the post multiple times. Running dropkick wraps it a final time.

Back inside, Bryan working leg kicks on the left leg and hits a dragon screw. Bryan DDTing the leg into the mat and dropping all his weight on it as it sits on the rope. Another kick allows Kane to land an uppercut that drops Bryan. Kane now working Bryan into the mat. Scoop slam followed by an elbow drop for a quick pin attempt.

Kane working the nerve hold once again. Bryan fighting back up and again breaks the hold to land a running dropkick to the knee. Leg kicks from Bryan conecting and a leg lock stretching the worked leg. Running dropkick connects in the corner, but Bryan going to the well one too many times and he is dropped by a big boot for a Kane nearfall as we break.

We return with Bryan working the body. Kane looks for a slam, but Bryan slips out with more kicks. Bryan runs right into a Kane clothesline that nearly gets the win. Backbreaker across the knee from Kane sees him stretch Bryan across it. Bryan struggling to get out, but a shot to the head breaks the hold. Bryan cornered, but fighting out with shots. Up top, Bryan comes down on an uppercut that nearly gives Kane the victory.

Chinlock torquing the neck of Bryan. As Bryan fights out, he is put down by Kane. Bodydrop attempt is countered by a boot from Bryan and he gets the facelock to land a tornado DDT. Both men down and Bryan with leg kicks as both return to the feet. Momentum is stopped by a Kane uppercut and Bryan whipped into the corner. Flip from Bryan allows him to get the back and shove Kane into the ropes. Dropkick sends Kane out and Bryan flies to connect with a suicide dive that smacks both into the barricade. Inside, missile dropkick plants Kane for a nearfall.

Bryan with kick after kick to the chest. Head kick is ducked by Kane and he shoves Bryan off the ropes to land a sidewalk slam that nearly puts Bryan down for the count. Kane moving up top and he connects on a flying clothesline. Chokeslam attempt is ducked by Bryan and he rocks Kane with a head kick. Kane down and Bryan up, landing on the diving headbutt and nearly wining the bout.

Kicks in the corner from Bryan wearing the bigger man down. Referee breaks it and Kane steps out with an uppercut. Blatant chokehold on Bryan lifting him off the ground. Bryan turns around and lands another head kick. Hurricanrana from Bryan just sends him tumbling to the mat. Off the ropes, DDT from Kane plants Bryan for a nearfall. Clotheslines from Kane as he looks to prove a point to Bryan. Chokeslam has Bryan up, but he flips forward and puts the shoulders of Kane to the mat with a sunset flip.

Winner by pinfall: Daniel Bryan

Raw Rebound shows The Usos winning the WWE Tag Team Championships from the New Age Outlaws.

WWE Director of Operations Kane caught up with by Josh Mathews. Mathews asks if he is angry about losing to Bryan. Kane knows Bryan got lucky, but he is frustrated that Bryan keeps challenging the WWE COO Triple H. Kane declares Bryan unfit for matches with anyone in The Authority before storming off.

Match Two: Nikki Bella (w/Brie Bella) vs. Alicia Fox (w/Aksana)

Lockup sees Alicia Fox grab the side headlock on Nikki Bella. Fox with a shoulder bump that knocks Bella down. Fox misses on an elbow drop and Bella with an arm wrench that twists Fox into the mat. Fireman's carry into an armbar from Bella. Fox gets the rope break, but Bella comes back with a headscissors takeover and a monkey flip. Aksana gets on the apron and Fox with an attack from behind that gets a nearfall.

Triangle choke taking the air out of Bella here. Fox forced to put her shoulders on the mat and the nearfall breaks the hold. Fox hooks the ropes as Bella tries a dropkick and Fox with a Northern Lights Suplex that nearly gets the win. Fox choking Bella on the second rope and hits a snapmare into a sleeper. Bella turning out, but Fox looking to turn it into a backslide. Bella flips out to hit a clothesline and dropkick. Facebreaker on the knee is followed up by a bodydrop.

Aksana on the apron and Brie Bella yanks her to the floor. Fox from behind with a rollup that almost steals the win. Bella puts Fox across her shoulders and hits the backbreaker.

Winner by pinfall: Nikki Bella

Renee Young interviews the WWE Tag Team Champions prior to their rematch with the New Age Outlaws. The Usos claim the victory hasn't really sunk in yet and remind the crowd that they can do anything they try. They believe everyone is happy for them except the Outlaws and they are ready for WrestleMania.

The New Age Outlaws come out and send Renee Young off. Road Dogg asks if Billy Gunn can feel that, then takes a shot at the state of the city of Detroit. Road Dogg asks if he can feel the awe from standing in the ring with the luckiest team in the world. Road Dogg calls for a postponement because of injuries and they promise to come back to win the belts.

WWE Raw General Manager Brad Maddox makes his way out to confirm to the injury of Road Dogg. Maddox promised the crowd a title defense and introduces their new opponents, Los Matadores.

The New Age Outlaws join the commentary team.

Match Three for the WWE Tag Team Championships: The Usos (c) vs. Los Matadores (w/El Torito)

Fernando and Jey Uso start off the match. Lockup and Jey with a side headlock takeover. Fernando rolls it for a nearfall, but Jey maintains the hold. Shoulder bump from Jey and gets a pair of rollups for nearfalls. Fernando with a crucifix pin of his own before hitting an arm drag. Jey with one of his own. Dropkicks from both men miss.

Both men tag out to bring in Diego and Jimmy. Lockup sees Diego get the hammerlock. Jimmy with one of his own to counter. Diego with a snapmare, but he gets hit with a shoulder block. Hip toss blocked by Jimmy and he gets one of his own before locking in an armbar off an arm drag. Both men stop to exchange some dances and taunts before Jimmy slingshots Diego into his corner.

Tag made by Jey and he hits a flying forearm in the corner for a brief nearfall. Uppercut from Jey rocks Diego and he is sent outside on a clothesline. Suicide dive from Jey connects, but he is soon met by Fernando. Crossbody off the top from Fernando lands and Jimmy soon follows with a crossbody over the top rope. All men down outside as we go to break.

We return with Diego getting a nearfall. The Usos switch and Jey gets a nearfall of his own off a double team attack. Keylock from Jey in, but Diego fighting up to his feet. Off the ropes, Fernando in and the double team from Los Matadores gets a nearfall as well.

Arm wrench from Fernando sees him bring in Diego and the double team roll out of the corner on Jey gets them yet another nearfall. Fernando back in. Diego with a suplex and Fernando with a flipping splash for a nearfall. Diego now legal once again and he slows it down with a sleeper hold. Jey fighting out with body shots and the two run into each other with clotheslines.

Tags made to Jimmy and Fernando. Clotheslines and kicks connecting before an uppercut rocks Fernando. Full nelson bomb converts and a butt splash misses in the corner. Fernando tries a flying attack, but the two flipping positions in the piledriver position before Fernando gets the DDT for a nearfall. Flying maneuvers connect, but a Samoan Drop nearly gets Jimmy the victory before Diego breaks it.

Diego bodydropped into the corner, but a headstand keeps him in control. Jey with a kick that rocks him and sends him outside. Fernando misses on a splash and Jimmy goes up top after a double Superkick connects. Jimmy with the splash from the top.

Winners by pinfall and still WWE Tag Team Champions: The Usos

The New Age Outlaws toy with El Torito post-match. Torito on the apron and he hits a headscissors takeover on Billy Gunn before rolling back into the ring. Gunn hoisted up by Los Matadores and a springboard headbutt to the groin from Torito sends the New Age Outlaws away to close the show.
