Impact: Aries picks a side for Lockdown
By NOLAN HOWELL - SLAM Wrestling

TNA X Division Champion Austin Aries is a hot commodity in TNA right now, as both Team Dixie and Team MVP are fighting for his services in the Lethal Lockdown match. Tonight on TNA Impact, Aries has a decision to make. What will it be? Plus, will this affect the main event between MVP and Bobby Roode? All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

Recap of all the latest events in TNA.

We are on tape from London, England. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

The announce crew informs us that TNA President Dixie Carter is not in attendance tonight. Matchmaking on her behalf will be left up to TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus, Ethan Carter III, and Bobby Roode.

Gunner is shown searching for "Cowboy" James Storm backstage. Gunner is asked what he wants to say when Storm shows up. Gunner wants Storm to know that "he doesn't have a chance in hell."

MVP makes his way out. MVP plays to the crowd a bit before cutting to the business at hand. Last week, Storm's interference cost Gunner the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. While MVP promises to make good on giving Gunner another shot when he gets control of the wrestling operations in TNA, it makes the TNA Lockdown main event official between Samoa Joe and Magnus. MVP invites both men.

Samoa Joe makes his entrance first, soon followed by TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus. MVP remarks how surprised he is Magnus is out here alone, asking where his "sugar momma" is. Magnus introduces himself and claims TNA President Dixie Carter doesn't want to be in London because of the city it has become. Magnus only needs himself to be there when dealing with business involving his career.

MVP asks the two men if they have anything to say. Neither has anything and MVP informs Magnus that Magnus Rules won't apply in this match, but Joe Rules will. This match can only be won by submission or knockout. MVP asks if he believes Magnus can do that to Joe, but hands off the contract. Joe signs it and it is handed over to Magnus. Magnus upset over the rule changes, but claims to have a deck of cards he hasn't played yet compared to the aces in their sleeves. Magnus calls Joe an animal and promises to put him down, as an "articulate and refined" representative of the company.

The contract is signed and the two get face-to-face. Magnus goads Joe and he obliges with a headbutt and strikes in the corner. Joe taking Magnus to task in the corner and the referees come to separate the two. Joe chases him further up the ramp and lands even more punches and road agents finally break up the fight.
