Impact: Storm strikes in Gunner and Magnus title match

Feast or Fired gave Gunner the opportunity of a lifetime. With a TNA World Heavyweight Championship shot firmly in hand, Gunner has stalked Magnus for weeks for the chance to lay down his shot. Tonight on TNA Impact, Gunner finally gets his match against Magnus. Will the Carter regime have anything up their sleeves? Plus, what moves will MVP make to prepare for TNA Lockdown? All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

Recap of all the latest events in TNA.

We are on tape from Manchester, England. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus and TNA President Dixie Carter discussing a deal that has been set while Ethan Carter III and TNA Chief of Staff Rockstar Spud look on. Magnus promises not to go down with Dixie should she lose control of the company. The collective seem to agree to put aside any hostility or disagreements.

Carter and Magnus make their way out. Magnus introduces himself and cuts to the chase, calling out MVP so he can make an announcement. MVP heads out, Magnus once again lists his accolades, then starts to lash out at MVP's criminal history. Magnus warns him that his time in jail would be nothing compared to if he steps into the ring with him. Magnus tells MVP to stay in line or he will be made an example of.

MVP dresses down Magnus, noting his constant reminders of him being the champion of the company. MVP tells Magnus that people shouldn't need to be reminded. Cutting to the chase, MVP wants an answer from Carter about the Lethal Lockdown four-on-four match for the control of wrestling operations. Magnus speaks on the behalf Carter and accepts the challenge. Magnus declares that he will not be captain of Team Carter as he will beat Samoa Joe after dealing with Gunner tonight. MVP tells Magnus not to count out Gunner, but Magnus doesn't care who he's dealing with, whether it be a "war hero" or a "50 Cent knockoff." Magnus with a rather unpleasant term to describe what he'll make of anyone who stands in his way, despite MVP warning him not to say it.

A brawl ensues after Magnus utters the word and MVP working on Magnus in the corner. Ethan Carter III makes his way out and the numbers overwhelm MVP. The two stomping MVP down and The Wolves are shown pushing through security and Rockstar Spud backstage. Gunner out to make the save and Magnus and EC3 soon sent packing. The two are goaded by MVP as they walk up the ramp, where they are met by The Wolves. Magnus shoves EC3 into the team and runs away, allowing EC3 to eat spinning back kick to the stomach.

Bobby Roode shown entering the arena. He is asked for a comment, but Roode says that he will say anything that needs to be said in front of everyone.

Ethan Carter III storms into the locker room of Magnus. Carter wants to know why Magnus left him for dead and Magnus tells him that it is in his and his aunt's best interest to back him. EC3 promises to have his back with a rather large dose of vitriol and sarcasm.

Samoa Joe out in the ring. Joe lamenting that his dance card has been left empty tonight and he came here to change that. While many came to see a championship match tonight, Joe came to fight and he calls out any "resident of Dixieland."

The BroMans and Zema Ion make their way out. Joe asks which one of them it will be, before volunteering to take on all three.

Handicap Match One: Samoa Joe vs. The BroMans & Zema Ion

Samoa Joe throwing strikes with no regard. Robbie E gets in the first effective offense, kicking Joe on a bodydrop attempt. A clothesline counter soon connects for Joe and he takes out Jessie Godderz with a flying knee. Zema Ion with elbows in the corner, but he is sent out. Ion flies, but Joe sidesteps before working him in the corner a bit. The BroMans soon come to the rescue from behind. Stomps and strikes fly. Dropkick from Godderz followed by an elbow from Robbie E and Ion with a moonsault for a nearfall.

Right hand flurries from Joe sending all three reeling, but he is soon downed by Robbie E. Joe sent into the corner and all three landing running shots before hitting the triad knee lift for a nearfall.

The BroMans hold Joe out and Ion goes up top. Joe yanks The BroMans together and they are hit with the missile dropkick from Ion. Ion eats a chop and an enzuigiri in the corner. DDT and Russian Legsweep combo for The BroMans connects for Joe. The duo moves outside and a suicide dive sends the two tumbling up the entrance way.

Back inside, chop on Ion gets him seated up top. Muscle Buster attempt is countered by a rake of the eyes. Tornado DDT is shucked off by Joe and Ion charges him, only to receive the STJoe in the corner. Ion again up for the Muscle Buster and the Coquina Clutch locked in soon after.

Winner by submission: Samoa Joe

Christy Hemme getting her microphone set up worked on backstage. The stagehand offers her a battery pack and the two converse before going their separate ways. Samuel Shaw comes from behind and puts the stagehand in a sleeper and slams him into the storage door before punting his head.

Bobby Roode and "Cowboy" James Storm in the locker room. Roode wanted to discuss with Storm prior to going out there tonight. Roode believes the business has changed and he's going through a lot. Roode is tired of the lack of trust and he has had some trouble lacing up his boots lately. Though they have had good and bad times, Roode reflects fondly on the special time the two spent in Beer Money.

Storm warns Roode not to go out there and do what he thinks he's going to do. Storm knows Roode has felt slapped in the face by this business, but he wants him to slap it right back. Storm knows the dog-eat-dog nature of the wrestling business, but the only people responsible for their actions are themselves. The two embrace as Roode walks out.

MVP is joined by TNA X Division Champion Austin Aries. While Aries settles in, MVP cuts to the chase and wants an anchor for his team. The Wolves are already in and MVP wants to add Aries. MVP promises to make big changes. Aries is skeptical, as the company hasn't always done right by him when he wanted to do right by the company. Aries promises to give it some serious thought.

Street Fight Match Two: Madison Rayne vs. Gail Kim (w/Lei'D Tapa)

Madison Rayne meets Gail Kim halfway up the ramp with a cooking sheet. The weapon is cracked across the back of Gail Kim and we move inside. Clotheslines followed by a shoulder bump and a headkick from Rayne. Rayne dropkicks the cooking sheet into the face of Gail Kim for a nearfall.

Another baking sheet set up in the corner by Rayne. Gail Kim almost sent into it, but she catches herself in the corner. Back elbow allows her to gain control and she begins to work Rayne onto the mat. Kendo stick now used to choke Rayne. Clothesline with the stick connects and Gail Kim looking for a spinning toehold. Kick from Rayne sends Gail Kim into the baking sheet.

Gail Kim sent outside and Lei'D Tapa lurking around her to prevent the attack. Rayne dives at her from the apron, but she is caught. Guillotine choke locked in from Rayne and Tapa struggling to break the submission. Rayne sent into the apron on her spine and Gail Kim now using the opportunity to lock in the figure four leglock around the ring post. Chair in hand, Gail Kim misses as she swings on the leg and chair is kicked back in her face.

Action moves back inside and Rayne connects on a spear. Tapa steps inside and Rayne using a barrage of weapons against her. Rayne looking for the final shot with a chair, but Gail Kim levels her from behind with the TNA Knockouts Championship belt.

Winner by pinfall: Gail Kim

Christy Hemme and Mr. Anderson discussing Anderson's newborn twins backstage. Samuel Shaw lurking around and looking menacing upon discovering the two talking.

Ethan Carter III discusses the TNA Hall of Fame Ceremony for Kurt Angle next week. EC3 claims to not be able to take away anything Angle has done in his career and praises him for being one of the best wrestlers of all-time, but he will give him the respect to let him break some news next week.

Gunner and Storm discussing the match tonight. Storm asks if Gunner is ready, to which he replies affirmatively. Storm recollects his shot at the title and making the most of the opportunity. Gunner wants to make the most of it for himself and all of his friends, family, and military members. Storm is proud of the humble nature and Gunner gives Storm the Feast or Fired TNA Tag Team Championship case to cash in for them after he wins tonight.

Bobby Roode makes his way to the ring. Roode has been proud of his eleven years in TNA and his seventeen as a professional wrestler. Roode loves being able to walk down to the ring and perform for the fans. However, Roode isn't proud of some things in his career. Roode ruined friendships and was equally as ruthless backstage as he was in front of the camera. While he can't control his past, he has control of his future and that's why he's hear tonight. Roode declares this his last night as a pro wrestler. Roode hates himself, having to look in the mirror after dealing with Dixie Carter over the past few weeks. To close, Roode does something different that he has never done and thanks the fans.

TNA President Dixie Carter heads out to the ring. Carter tells Roode that he doesn't have a choice when he gets to leave. Roode doesn't want to be here anymore, but Carter tells him he can't make that call. Carter needs him in TNA. Roode questions this, but Carter apologizes for her behavior since she has been dealing with the stress of MVP being TNA's investor lately. Roode doesn't want to work for the company anymore, but Carter pleads for Roode to captain her team at Lockdown. Roode doesn't want anything to do with it, however, Carter sweetens the pot by promising Roode 10% ownership of TNA if he leads them to victory. Carter tells Roode to have his lawyers draw it up. Roode tells Carter she has a deal, but if she screws his life, he will dedicate his life to ruining hers.

Jeremy Borash with TNA Online Gut Check Challenge winner Bad Bones. Bones speaks in German, but Samuel Shaw attacks both Mr. Anderson and Christy Hemme in the background. Both are knocked out and Shaw carries Hemme off.

Bobby Roode with Bad Influence backstage. Bad Influence excited for the opportunity to team with Roode and help him win ownership of part of TNA. Roode wants the best team possible and tells them to go out and proves themselves in their match.

Match Three: The Wolves vs. Bad Influence

Kazarian and Eddie Edwards start off. Lockup and Edwards gets the back. Ankle pick takedown from Kaz and the two are back and forth grappling with side headlock takeovers. Christopher Daniels swings at Edwards and Kaz capitalizes off the distraction. Daniels in with a shoulder bump and he knocks Davey Richards off the apron. However, Edwards just comes back with a chop. Richards in and a double team Japanese arm drag connects. Drop toehold for Kaz by Edwards is followed by a running dropkick from Richards. Running forearm from Richards is compounded by an Edwards leg lariat for a nearfall.

Scoop slam from Richards allows him to move up top. Kaz holds the leg and ducks a running boot as he's shoved off. Daniels clobbers Richards off the apron and Kaz with some dirty work outside as the referee is distracted. Daniels stomping Richards down.

Kaz back inside and some double team trickery allows Daniels to hip toss Kaz into a leg drop nearfall. Front facelock working the neck of Richards. Elbow shots to the body get Richarfs out and he hits the ropes, running right into a spinning heel kick for a quick nearfall. Daniels in and he stomps the chest of Richards into the mat for a nearfall.

Edwards knocked off the apron and Bad Influence continuing the double team attack on Richards. Duck under on the clothesline from Richards and he shoves the team into one another. Enzuigiri drills Kaz and Edwards brought in. Back elbows for Bad Influence land one after another. Daniels sends Edwards into the ropes, where he nails Kaz with a big boot. Chops on Daniels connecting and Daniels whipped into the opposite corner. Boot gets up and Daniels moves up top, but he is picked up and the backpack jawbreaker connects for a nearfall.

Richarrds sends Kaz out for breaking the nearfall. Daniels takes him out from behind and hits an STO on Edwards. Best Moonsault Ever doesn't connect, but Daniels lands on his feet. Kick and Daniels off the ropes, but he is pressed up by Edwards and lands on a kick to the chest from Richards. Richards with a big boot to Kaz outside and Edwards with a double foot stomp to the back from the top. Richards up top and he gets a double foot stomp to the chest.

Winners by pinfall: The Wolves

Samuel Shaw lays Christy Hemme on the trainer's table. Hemme awakes and doesn't know what's going on. Shaw consoles her and lays her back down before chasing off the cameras.

The announce team informs us that this is a "Magnus Rules" match, which means no disqualifications or countouts.

Magnus Rules Match Four for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Magnus (c) vs. Gunner

Magnus moves outside immediately to start. Lockup as he returns and Gunner gets the back. Arm wrench from Magnus countered into a Gunner arm wrench. Maneuvering gets Magnus one of his own and he turns it into a side headlock. Side slam for Gunner doesn't get Magnus to relinquish the hold. Magnus still holding on. Nearfall for Gunner as he turns Magnus over.

Side headlock still controlling Gunner. Magnus sent off the ropes and he gets a shoulder block. Gunner now in control with a back elbow and a back elbow out of the corner as Magnus runs in. Corner work for Gunner converts, but he runs into a boot and Magnus with a knee to the back that sends Gunner outside.

Magnus calling for some backup as Gunner lays outside. The Wolves and "Cowboy" James Storm make their way out to prevent a numbers game as we break.

We return with Gunner hitting a suplex on Magnus. Drop toehold from Magnus allows him to lock in a Camel Clutch. Gunner fights up to his feet and backs up into the corner. Magnus ducks under an approaching Gunner to lock in a sleeper. Gunner struggling, but he counters with a backdrop suplex that puts both men down.

Both men up before the referee's count ends. Gunner winning the battle of blows in the middle of the ring, but Magnus hits a knee lift to the stomach. Sitout scoop slam from Magnus connects. Up top, elbow drop connects for Magnus for a close nearfall.

The TNA World Heavyweight Championship is brought in and Magnus attempts to use it as a weapon, but Gunner ducks it to lock in the Gun Rack. Rake of the eyes gets Magnus out and both men hit crossbodies to put each other down.

The Wolves and James Storm meet The BroMans and Ethan Carter III in the ring to take them outside. The groups brawl up the ramp and Gunner hits a powerbomb inside. Gunner heading up top and he hits a diving headbutt to the midsection of Magnus. TNA Chief of Staff Rockstar Spud runs and is able to put the foot of Magnus on the ropes.

Gunner chasing Spud around and this allows Magnus to cheap shot Gunner with the title belt for a close nearfall. Storm now chasing Spud around ringside. Magnus bounces the head of Gunner off the turnbuckle and Gunner now hyped up. Big punches and clotheslines connecting. Big splash in the corner followed by a slingshot suplex. STO connects and Gunner heads up top. Rockstar Spud enters the ring to prevent the interference and tells Gunner to close the deal. Gunner comes off the top and lands right on a Last Call Superkick from Storm. Magnus inches on top.

Winner by pinfall and still TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Magnus

The show closes with Magnus being escorted up the ramp by Rockstar Spud and James Storm lurking atop his former tag team partner.
