Smackdown!: CM Punk thinks The Authority is out to get him
By DALE PLUMMER -- SLAM! Wrestling

The Daniel Bryan saga with the Wyatt Family didn't even last two weeks. Bryan turned on Bray Monday night, so we should see some fall out tonight on Smackdown! And don't forget, kids, the Royal Rumble is a week from Sunday, even if the match itself hasn't barely been mentioned.

The best thing about Smackdown! is a match almost always starts the show, but first we have an addition to the announce team, as The Miz joins Cole and JBL in Worcester, Mass.

Match #1 - The New Age Outlaws vs. Cody Rhodes and Goldust

In case you missed it on Monday, the Outlaws left CM Punk out to dry for The Shield by walking out on their match with him. For some reason, Vicki Guerrero interrupts the match to talk about the Royal Rumble. She doesn't tell us anything we don't all ready know, but Billy Gunn takes advantage of the distraction to roll Cody up and get the pin.

Winner via pinfall: The New Age Outlaws

Backstage, Renee Young asks CM Punk if there's any truth that he is going to call out The Shield. Punk confirms this as true and walks off.

Paul Heyman walks his way to the ring to speak on the behalf of his client, Brock Lesnar. Heyman wants to address the smear campaign that the Big Show is waging against Brock. He reminds us that Brock was attacked by the Big Show after fighting Mark Henry. Heyman says he fears no evil, because he walks with Brock. Big Show hits the ring to shut him up, but Heyman is able to retreats through the crowd. Big Show has a message for Heyman; he all but promises to knock out Brock Lesnar.

Match #2 Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio

How many times have we seen this? Anyway, Mysterio says he can see that Del Rio is worried about the return of Batista, but he should be concerned with the man currently in the ring. Rey ducks a kick from Del Rio, who spills to the floor. Del Rio catches Rey on the top turnbuckle and hands him in a tree of woe. Del Rio connects with a drop kick and we go to break.

cuts off the 619, catching Rey with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. After knocking Rey off the top turnbuckle, Del Rio call for the cross arm breaker, but Rey counters and drops Del Rio with a tornado DDT. Del Rio kicks out of the pin. Mysterio drops Del Rio into the ropes and hits the 619. Del Rio gets his knees up to counter Rey Dropping a Dime. Del Rio misses a kick and Rey is able to roll him up to get a three count.

Winner via pinfall: Rey Mysterio

After the bell, Del Rio attacks Rey, locking in the cross arm breaker adn not letting go.

Match #3 - Naomi w/ Cameron vs. Tamina w/ AJ Lee

It's official, AJ is the longest running Diva's Champion of all time. Naomi hits a split legged springboard moonsault to get the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Naomi

Bray Wyatt is not happy with what Daniel Bryan did to him on Monday. Bray tells us a story of how as a child he want to be powerful like his father, but he was never good enough and was cast out. Bray was saved by Sister Abigail and gave him hope, but told him he would be deceived again. Bray knew he had to sacrifice himself so he could be reborn the monster he was meant to be. In summation, Daniel Bryan is in for a world of hurt.

Renee Young is back with CM Punk, who says he is also calling out The New Age Outlaws along with The Shield. Young calls it career suicide, but Punk says it's a gift for the Authority.

Match #4 Big E Langston vs. Fandango w/ Summer Rae

Langston drops Fandango with a back breaker and sends him scurrying to the outside. Summer Rae gives him some words of encouragement, but it doesn't matter as Big E drives Fandango into the corner. Fandango is able to knock Langston to the floor and then drives him into the security barrier. Fandango keeps up the pressure in the ring with a clothesline. Langston catches Fandango with a belly to belly suplex and follows with a splash. Fandango counters the Big Ending, but Big E is able to nail Fandango coming off the top rope. The straps come down, Fandango goes up and is dropped with the over the shoulder cutter. Langston covers to get the win.

Winner by pinfall: Big E Langston

Renee Young asks The Shield about being in The Rumble together. Ambrose says they are a cohesive unit and they are all on the same page. Young asks Dean what he would do if he had to eliminate Rollins. Ambrose says he wouldn't do it, but Rollins says he couldn't do it. Reigns says he would eliminate both of them in an instant, but one of them will win the Royal Rumble.

Okay, for some reason, random Divas are teasing upcoming matches on the show going into commercial breaks. Just wanted to get that out there.

Match #5 The Real Americans w/ Zeb Colter vs. The Usos

Poor Zeb is in a wheel chair after being attacked by The Big Show and then Cesaro and Swagger almost let him roll down the ramp. While the Usos are still nursing injuries from their cage match on Monday versus Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan. Jimmy slam Zeb into Cesaro after Zeb tried to protect his guy. Swagger is left alone in the ring to get pinned by Jimmy after a splash from the top rope.

Winners via pinfall: The Usos

CM Punk is in the ring and wants us to know that he is not coward; he will not hide behind an army or send others to fight his battles. Punk knows he going to get to slaughtered, but the Authority will still do everything in their power to shut him up. Punk calls out Triple H for hiding behind his wife, when The Shield hits the ring, along with the New Age Outlaws. All five men surround the ring, when the Director of Operations, Kane calls for a stop to the madness. Kane orders everyone to stand down and joins Punk in the ring. He tells Punk that The Authority doesn't want this. He thinks Punk's paranoia is against him. The Authority wants him to headline Wrestlemania and Kane is under orders to make sure Punk is treated justly and with the respect he deserves. Kane gives his word. Punk doesn't believe in Kane's word since it is now coming from a corporate sell out. Kane orders the attack on Punk, but decides to take care of business himself, delivering a choke slam to Punk.
