NXT: Kingston returns for revenge in Rusev rematch

Kofi Kingston came in unfocused against Alexander Rusev the first time around and he paid the cost by tapping to The Accolade. However, Kingston is back tonight and wants to prove that veterans can recover from rookie mistakes. Tonight on WWE NXT, Kingston gets another shot at Alexander Rusev with laser focus. Plus, NXT Champion Bo Dallas is in action. All that and more on this week's edition of WWE NXT!

We are on tape from Orlando, Fla. Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, and Tensai have the call for this week.

Prior to the introductory video package, WWE COO Triple H makes his way to the ring. Triple H believes this is an exciting time for the WWE and he is here to make an announcement. On February 27th, NXT will be live on the WWE Network.

Introduction plays.

Match One: Adrian Neville vs. Tyler Breeze

Tyler Breeze looks hesitant to lock up with Adrian Neville to start. Breeze opens with a kick to the midsection and locks in a side headlock. Neville rolls through to break the hold and hits a shoulder block. Headscissors takeover after some maneuvering to flip Breeze sends Breeze outside. Neville with some theatrics and flips in the ring while Breeze cowers outside.

Breeze charges in, but Neville gets the back. Elbow shot from Breeze rocks Neville and Breeze now working Neville from corner to corner. Shot to the body and Neville now with some corner work of his own. Both men showing no aversion to brawling here. Chops stopping Breeze in his tracks, but he comes back with knees to the body. Neville sent to the apron and Breeze drops him with a springboard dropkick as we head to break.

We return to Breeze working a neck crank. Neville fights to his feet, but he is soon put down with clubbing blows. Corner work from Breeze puts Neville down for a brief nearfall. Breeze moves over to his trusty cell phone to make sure he looks good and he runs right into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker from Neville. Running dropkick to the head converts for a Neville nearfall.

Cornered, Breeze bodydrops Neville to the apron. Forearm shiver from Neville wobbles Breeze and he springboards right into a dropkick counter from Breeze that nearly ends the match. Breeze frustrated and unloads ground-and-pound. Beauty Shot attempt misses the mark and Breeze left staggered in the corner. Enuzigiri from Neville prevents any offense and he goes up for a corkscrew splash. Neville splatters on the mat and Breeze with a nearfall. Beauty Shot is caught by Neville for a powerbomb nearfall.

Red Arrow being sought by Neville. Breeze grabs on the leg for dear life, but he is put down by punches. Neville up again, but Breeze is able to hit the top rope to crotch Neville in the corner. Breeze climbs to the top and tries a hurricanrana, but Neville holds the ropes. Standing up top, Red Arrow launches and connects.

Winner by pinfall: Adrian Neville

Match Two: CJ Parker vs. Jason Jordan

Jason Jordan using amateur wrestling to start. Belly-to-back throw into bridging nearfalls for Jordan. CJ Parker is able to break the bodylock and nails him with a huge heel kick. Third Eye palm strike connects for Parker.

Winner by pinfall: CJ Parker

Match Three: Bo Dallas vs, Mojo Rawley

Lockup sees Bo Dallas gets tossed backwards. Mojo Rawley playing mind games and staying hyped. Another lockup and Dallas is again thrown away. Rawley now gets the side headlock. Dallas with the rope break and he sends Rawley off, but he comes back with a shoulder block that sends Dallas tumbling outside.

Dallas returns and Rawley corners him with a three point stance. Dallas flees to the apron and returns with a kick to the knee. Corner work from Dallas keeping Rawley contained. In the middle of the ring, Rawley now exchanging, but Dallas drops him in the flurry. Off the ropes, Dallas runs right into a series of shoulder blocks from Rawley. A cornered Dallas eats two splashes and is reeling on the apron. Hip toss brings Dallas back in. Dallas rocked in the corner and Rawley enters three point stance again, but he ducks away and rolls Rawley up with a handful of tights.

Winner by pinfall: Bo Dallas

Match Four: Kofi Kingston vs. Alexander Rusev (w/Lana)

Kofi Kingston worked into the corner by Alexander Rusev off the lockup. Kingston slips away for a bodylock into a side headlock. Takedown attempt from Kingston is tossed away by Rusev. Kingston hurries back with kicks to the midsection of Rusev, but Rusev finally sends Kingston away for a shoulder block. Leapfrogging and ducking from Kingston sees him wobble Rusev with a back elbow. A cornered Rusev is able to counter the attack of Kingston and get some corner work in to wear down the high-flyer. Kingston attempting to fight back, but Rusev is continually able to club Kingston down with more powerful blows. Claw nervehold applied to Kingston. Kingston out and he is sent off the ropes, but he hooks them and is able to get Rusev to tumble outside after charging him.

Outside, Kingston looks for a baseball slide kick, but Rusev sidesteps to land a kick to the body. Rusev clubbing Kingston down and tosses him into the steps, but Kingston leaps over them and uses them as a launching pad to land a flying clothesline as we break.

We return as Rusev works Kingston into the corner. Rusev charges, but Kingston charges in with a bronco buster. Kingston mounts Rusev and works for punches, but a huge powerbomb plans Kingston for a nearfall. Rusev bounces Kingston in the corner and unloads some corner work before hitting an elbow drop. Resurgence from Kingston stopped by a clubbing blow from Rusev. Kingston now hung up on the ropes and Rusev dropping strike after strike. Series of blows gets Rusev a nearfall.

Another clawing nervehold is stifled by Kingston. Kingston chopping away now and he puts Rusev down with a dropkick. Off the ropes, Kingston goes for a crossbody and is caught by Rusev. Using the ropes, Rusev kneeing the midsection of Kingston. Samoan Drop attempt is countered into a crucifix rollup for a Kingston nearfall.

Kingston powered into the corner by Rusev. Rusev charges right into a pendulum kick from Kingston. Springboard crossbody attempt from Kingston is caught by Rusev, who turns it into a Samoan Drop for a nearfall. Cornered, Rusev again charges Kingston. Kingston again ducks away to hit an SOS for a close nearfall.

Kingston with a running kick that nails Rusev. Kingston goes for it once again, but Rusev comes charging with a running body block for a quick nearfall. Accolade is slipped out of by Kingston, who nails a clothesline. Boom Drop connects for Kingston. Trouble in Paradise dialed in, but Lana gets to the apron to distract Kingston. Rusev charges in, but he meets the corner and turns right into Trouble in Paradise.

Winner by pinfall: Kofi Kingston

The show closes with Kingston celebrating getting even with Rusev in his win.
